That uses GPS to find my location and update it. Doing that makes the main weather location and the time on the home screen us my current location as their source. It has always worked for me. After that I can start installing cabs, setting up email, etc. I also add another location for weather as well and it doesn't affect my setup.

I tried the update now and it stayed the same.

Did you install 'footprints'? This happened to me before and I hard reset and then loaded my additional apps one by one and found that the footprints some how broke the weather update...

well it's going to be hard to help you if you don't give any background information like what version of the rom your using, did you install anything recently that would have broke the weather update, did the network go down for a little bit, help us help you.

You did it right after loading the ROM (ie, before loading CABs/changing other settings)? Hmm... could be a difference in Sprint TP2 version vs Verizon then, because it always works for me every time I flash, but only if I do it first thing...

I really like the look n feel of this ROM but here are a few quirks that's causing me to flash to something else (hope this helps u Deck)

1. on Verizon MMS will send but not receive...i know some may say i'm complaining cuz that's the case for all sprint users, but if it works on another ROM it should work on here

2. When tapping the home clock, on the World Clock screen, it will not register me tapping the screen...Scrolling, YES, tapping NO. (My weather is now stuck on some random city cuz it works when it wants to

3. Battery Life is a B with an itch.

With these minor problems aside this ROM is a BEAST

This is very odd. I just checked mine (R9) and cant believe it didnt work!
I know this used to work in older versions (R5-R7).

My wife is on R7 - she can send me a MMS and I can receive it.
If I send myself one, I get a notice that I need to download the MMS, but then it complains that it cant download it.

I hadnt previously noticed this was a problem because I can send to my wife and she can send to me. But sure has heck, sending to R9 from R9 doesnt work. (I'm also on Verizon.)

Tonight I will flash back to R7 and see what happens. Plus, the battery on R7 lasted about 3 days versus 1 day on R9.
