Thanks!

Nope. Outside of the KB and MMS settings, there isn't much else to do.

I mean the PRL/Firmware updater won't work of course, but until I can get the JMZ carrier provisioning file in there, I guess it should work on the Verizon network. Keep us posted & good luck.

Hey Guys.. When I install the cab and then run it on the HTC TP2 with this rom, it goes to Opera 10 and on the top it says "file:..localhost/_setup.xml" and it doesn't do anything?
How do I install this Nav system.
Please help!!!

Malatesta, I love your ROM. However, I can't seem to use Kinoma Play on this ROM. Everytime I use Kinoma it locks up the phone and I have to remove the battery cover to do a soft reset. I use Kinoma alot especially to listen to your WMExperts podcast. I hope you can give me some assistance on this, if not I'll have to go back to using MM's 6.5 ROM. Regardless, this ROM is wonderful. I love the touch friendliness of the UI. Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to follow up and say this problem with Kinoma Play seems to happen when I open the task manager while I am using Kinoma.

Malatesta,
I do like your ROM too. I have Sound & Notifications programs enable for a reminder. How can I change to a different sound wave?
Please advise
Merry Christmas!

Edit
I have found this question & answer per Mayonesa from the previous post.
Thank you for the great ROM and support of every one.

Not sure what that means, but if it's a file you need from a Verizon phone, just let me know. I'm going to try and get it flashed today while the kids are playing with their new toys. Other then the obvious like the phone, sms, mms, internet connection etc not working, should I check anything in particular once it's flashed to make sure it was successful?

Thanks again!

hey mal still lovin the rom and dont think ill be flashing others in the near future. one quick question though..is there a way to add someone to your contacts by tapping on there number in the messaging thread? it used to let me with past roms but i cant get it with yours.

maybe a reg tweak or cab that would help would be great!

Ok, flashed the Titanium only Rom about a half hour ago. So far MMS works out of the box...did not need to install the arcsoft cab. Phone, data, and sms also work perfectly! I did need to install the Verizon Keyboard fix which I can send to you if you need it. Otherwise as far as I can tell, the ROM works great on Verizon! Great job!

Very cool! Will look to modify the 1st post with this info and will attach the KB fix. Thanks for testing and glad it's working.

Yeah, Kinoma just doesn't play well with Task Manager, or at least the X2. My advice is just to "re-launch" it using the Start Menu instead of trying to switch it with the Task Manager. I'll play around with it but there's probably not much I can do on my end, I think Kinoma behaves a little unorthodox with memory.

Found one minor issue on the Verizon network. Every time I restart the device, it tries to "connect to the network to prepare my services". Obviously since I am not on Sprint It's having difficulties accomplishing this. I can't find anywhere to turn this off. If you go into Start->Settings->System->Update Profile/Firmware/PRL it will do the same thing, but I don't see any settings to change it.

Awesome rom Malatesta,

Any chance of getting the full roaming/network selection menu with the ability to force roaming and a/b side of cellular?

Edit:

Figured it out myself, if you want to put it in the next revision its:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\Netwo rkService]
"ServiceName"="Network Service"
"ServiceTitle"="Phone: Preferred Serving System"
"ItemCount"=dword:5
"ItemName1"="Home only"
"ItemValue1"=dword:1
"ItemName2"="Automatic-A"
"ItemValue2"=dword:2
"ItemName3"="Automatic-B"
"ItemValue3"=dword:3
"ItemName4"="Standard"
"ItemValue4"=dword:4
"ItemName5"="Roaming Only"
"ItemValue5"=dword:5

I'm having the same problem. I think the problem is on the Kinoma side. All seems to be ok if you exit Kinoma from the menu in Kinoma rather than using the task manager. Closing from Task Manager will cause an instant soft reset. I have had a few lockups and random resets as well using Kinoma either with Mal's Rom or MightMike's ROM. (I use Mal's Rom, now) Probably will always use it. It's great!

Probably. That's a pretty basic and simple app, so there's not much that can be screwed up on my end.

I just synced with it too, no issues. Perhaps your data connection is stagnate--either close it (you can map it to the End Key under Settings, Personal) or just soft-reset.

Malatesta,

Great Rom...I appreciate you taking the time to address everyones individual concerns/issues. So many times the threads fill up and it's diificult to find information. Your doing a great job keeping the thread clean and useful.

Now let me stop polluting the thread and ask my question...:) I realize everyone is wanting to add a little something to your ROM. But instead of cooking the peoples wants and needs (i.e. Forced Roaming) would it be better to provide a CAB and allow the people to install it individually??

Right now, it just might be my "backseat driver" side or my naive side, but can you mess up your ROM by adding too many ingredients?

Confirmed here as well. Don't know if anyone on another rom is experiencing the same so not blaming this rom but strange.

I can't believe how great this ROM is. Everything works out of the box. I really wanted to stay on this ROM, but one of my medical programs didn't run. I pretty sure it's not the ROM's fault since it doesn't run on other ROMs as well. If anyone uses the UpToDate software and gets it to work, please let me know. Thanks.

I being a user of the Sprint Navi... Im requesting that it NOT be added to the ROM.

Honestly... Things that are just as good when cabbed up should not be added to the ROM. If its used frequently, he can include it in POST2 and we can download it.

Once you set up Sashimi... its a peice of Cake to get all those programs we love to use installed. Dont be lazy guys... Every little thing that gets added to the rom risks slowing it down.

MAL- You make ROM's like Ive been trying to make them. Thanks for your work.

Mal thanks for the rom again. Just a few questions.
1. Is there a way we can update the weather timing I know it was mentioned earlier but wondering if you found a way to update the timing. I've seen cabs for 15, 30,1 hour but wondering if that will work with your rom.

2.How do I change the softkeys in the home page ie. contacts to say phone. You said in hd tweak but I cant seem to figure it out. thanks.

3. If you restart your phone you lose the ring and vibrate setting (it reverts back to ring only). if you instal the ring an vibrate cab you lose the HTC volume control. goes back to the old volume control style could you look into this for us thanks.

Thanks again this rom is great and speedy loving it.

I really loved this ROM but it suddenly started acting up and all my contacts disappeared so i tried soft resetting and then it completely froze in the starting windows animation and would not load any further. So I had to leave the ROM, otherwise I really loved it, I'm not exactly sure what happened but my phone became unusable and i tried soft resetting multiple times and waiting for 20 minutes to no avail. So i reset into bootloader and flashed to a different ROM. Other than that this ROM has been absolutely great.

Im glad that you that someone agrees. Mal Needs to be careful now that his ROM has become popular and not allow too many people requests to mess with the rom itself.

I think Everyone needs to learn Sashimi before they can mess with ROMs at all... it makes these cab requests alot easier.

Killer... im sorry to say, but I think it might be an issue with the Hard SPL. Have you made sure you are using the latest release of it? If you havent, just go ahead and download it and run it quickly... it should help with that mess.
