Dibbs... Tried looking in your FTP folder for a replacement top taskbar, but noticed that they only changed the bottom one. Had one (bilbobrian) that I liked, but the signal bars and status didn't work properly... Is there one that you recommend (or have had luck with)... I like pretty simple, but not as simple as stock, lol. Im on the Titanium only rom...

Dibbs - Just installed the MaxSense ROM. Do I need to load the MMSVerizonSettings.cab after upgrading?

Also, when I go to new text (Microsoft not HTC) and try to enter a name, matching names used to be displayed. Now I get crappy lines across the screen, like it's trying to do that but can't. Not sure if the answer to the above question would help this but, I did load it the first time (I re-flashed) and had the same issue.

Thoughts?

Regarding the texting issue, are you using swype as your keyboard? If so type your contact name, then hit backspace once to populate the matching contacts. Minor issue with swype.

There are a few taskbars out there that will work just google search "6.5.x taskbar" and add the xda or ppcgeeks tag with it. I haven't used a custom taskbar in awhile, so I don't have links off hand.

Currently I'm hung on the Dinik-styled mods. Here a screenshot so you can see the taskbar, may not be simple enough for you though.

Thanks.... a little too much for me... guess I'll stay stock till I find one that does the job... The Bilbobrian one was close, but like I said, it wouldn't show the "connected" arrows, and then when it the data would connect, it would show the USB icon. also, the signal bars wouldn't adjust to 7 instead of 5, so those were out of place too.....

Oh well.... off to google some more :-D

Anybody else using the titanum rom? I keep coming back to this one, the latest spb mobile shell update runs very fast, especially on this rom. Sitting at about 102 mb ram right now, never hover below 80 mb free. Lovin the speed.

I accidentaly found your rom here at ppc geeks and decided to try it out. I just want to say that after trying many of the other more popular ones, like Mighty Rom and Ivans, your rom is so much better! I liked Mighty rom best, but i would have reset or hard-reset my phone at least once a month. I have been using your rom since the first release, and your rom is so stable. I have never had to hard-reset my phone once while using your rom. Keep up the great work.

Odd -- I tried using mobile shell with the titanium ROM and it seemed sluggish to me. Rock solid reliability and lots of available memory, but it just wasn't very responsive. Now I'm wondering if I had something setup incorrectly... Did you make any tweaks in your config for perf, or did you just install the MH Titanium build and Spb 3.5.5 on top of it?

No tweaks, just the rom and spb 3.5.5. Before this latest 3.5.5, spb was always laggy, not anymore.

At least on the Verizon ROM you may want to check the voice command cab because it gave an error when long press send. I reinstalled it and it worked just fine. Do you know when you may have the new ROM uploaded since I still have our CFO on a beta version of an old ROM still and was going to update today.

Should be before 4 or 5pm est, or at least that's what I'm shooting for.

I also have another new ROM I will be releasing today as well. It won't be for everyone, but it should appeal to a certain crowd.

edit the registry, local machine, contol panel, owner...edit the hide value to 0, soft reset

The manila contact card is where it pulls all the info from. So make sure you fill out your contact card for yourself. It is the same as the owner info.

I had a similar experience. Assumed that Dibbs left voice-command out of the build so I installed it myself and everything was fine....

ROMs are almost done. You also shouldn't have any issues with voice command on this new one. Got one more thing I'm trying to figure out real quick, and they will all be on their respective way up to the FTP.

OMG so perfect its scary...yo my big time question is this.....how can i put up a shortcut link for my app Igo if its on the storage card? considering it was not installed in a cab way. Because most app that are installed are seen in the program menu but im not sure how to have a link for stuff thats not installed such as tomtom or .exe programs like Doom :D

Hope it does get posted tonight. I was wondering if they changed the bluetooth stack in the Verizon MR2 update but didn't know it wouldn't boot if you had your phone unlocked so I'm sitting here staring at the POST. I really wish they didn't do this activation server for the unlocker so we could unlock and relock at will. I could see maybe using activation server for the first 6 months of the phone's life, but after that it should be opened up. /rant

Most of the MR2 stuff is really old, also, I have added some BT tweaks that may help with this release. Update is still coming, just got caught up with family stuff last night.

Is it just me or is anyone else having the same problem?

After a while when the phone goes in to standby and the screen turns off, when I go to turn it back on...nothing happens..just like now i just got out of Igo navigation, set the phone down ..came back and pressed the power button to find nothing happens?...the phone is still on though because when i press the red button on the side it does reset

Yes, this has been happening to my wife's phone a lot. She's running the Verzion ROM. It seems, every morning, I have to do a red button reset.

yea but i realized when it does that with the screen off...if someone calls it comes back though..so might be a bug somewhere with the timer to turn off the screen or something.

is my phone on crack? running newest cht rom. just tried using the camera and it seemed to take the pics fine. however, now when i look at them, they are just black and purple lines. i have not tried using the camera in over a month, so i don't know how long it could have been going on and if it is a hardware issue. on the photos tab in sense they are black and purple, but if i open up albums the pic looks fine as a thumbnail but when opened it is purple again. also purple when i transfer file to pc. i don't think i changed any camera settings, but did a soft reset and tried again with same result. looked at camera options and everything looks fine. i tried to attach the photo here, but ppcg says that it is 1.48mb and that is too big for a jpeg. any ideas? anybody else experienced this?

ivwonka - Not sure if this is your issue but, what ROM are you running? Dibbs posted the below saying that there was a camera issue with the 6-18 ROM that was fixed in the 6-21 ROM. See page 306-7.

yes, wonder what version of manila dibbson is planning on. I see a lot of 2016 roms coming out and I am always about the latest and greatest, but I read somewhere that the newer ones are slower on the tp2 and that 2012 is really the fastest. 2013 is on the current rom and it seems fine though. don't know how reliable that was though, just talk on xda cht thread.

I don't want to say I hope not but, I'm sure looking forward to the regular update so I can go back. I like the regular Verizon ROM much better than the MaxSense (which I've been using a couple of weeks now).

That being said, I'm very excited about the update and am looking forward to flashing!!!
