Just use a different one, until I can figure out why the one from the ftp isn't working.

Hello Dibbson! I'm Filipp and i'm from Russia with MTS Rus provider. Thank you for your wonderful work, your last 17 May 2.5 sense ROM pretty cool and i think the most fast and smoothest ROM which i ever tried and will stay only with your ROMs! :) I'm found only 4 issues for me:

1) I am with the Verizon TP2 CDMA, but in russian EDGE-3G cover. I downloaded Verizon version of your ROM and flashed it, but in speed dial there are much of Verizons numbers, so can I delete them?
2) As i said, i'm in Russia and have to type on Russian, but when i install CAB with Russian keyboard layout support (onscreen and hardware) i cant type "," on keyboard anymore, only with Sym menu. :( And thats same on English and Russian layout. I had this problem on much ROMs and dont know why, but on MightyMike FF after install my Russian CAB I can type "," when pressing button "Star" (left from spacebar). I am really miss it with your ROM and hope what maybe you know how cure this.
3) When i start Teeter game, it's really not smooth. Yes, maybe this is subjectively but at least in MM roms thats much more smoother (Really not important so much, only interesting to know why).
4) When i plug in headphones in 3.5 jack, there is'nt pic notification on top taskbar. On the other ROMs and stock, i am remember thats was.

So, thank you again for your really good ROM. I'm loving it, lol ) And waiting for your answer.

Best regards. Filipp.

Hmm, it's weird, I looked into it a little last night. Off the FTP, the VZ one installs but not the others, weird... There are no weird settings for the CABs, and no weird security settings in the ROM, so i'm kinda at a loss. I'm still looking into it, and a CAB should be able to fix it. Just enter your data settings manually (for the titanium, so no one gets confused), I know *gasp*......

No provisioning is needed on the regular ROMs.

1. You should be able to change your speed dials to whatever you want.

2. weird the "," doesn't work, but in the newest Sense 2.5 ROM, Rhodium Keyboard Control is already installed, and you can use that to reset that key.

3. Hmmm, not sure about teeter, it runs fine on my end. Did you by chance have any other apps open at the time that might have been slowing it down?

4. I believe that is related to the phone canvas. Here's the deal with that. The sprint mr1 canvas is the most stable dialer pad, but the USCC 6.5 canvas is the best all around for everything else. Hard to choose between the two.

And glad your liking the ROM.

try running cht with one page of quicklinks instead of the default. those quicklink pages can slow it down.

I gave it a shot for a day and a half. I don't know...maybe it is just me, but it radically changed the way Sense looked...a little too much for me. It was a little buggy, but that is to be expected on the initial release.

Not trying to hijack the thread and start a MaxSense debate, no more than to say that I was MORE than happy to flash MH back on my phone!

Any chance of that Dibbs?

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

I tried it long enough to see what it's got, but imo, it's just not there yet. Maybe after an update or two. It also seemed sluggish to me as well, but I am used to a crisp manila, as I turn a few tabs off, and don't use weather on the home tab (less tabs and no weather = really fast manila). On a different note, I have updated a few packages and trying to decide on a couple other things. Kinda just playing around with stuff till a newer SYS drops down the pipeline. As far as the titanium rom goes, I am brain storming on a couple ideas i had that will eliminate that issue.

dibbson 06-01-2010 08:19 AM

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Well, I just wanted to put this out there since some people have asked about it in the past. I decided to test the 1% battery driver with the fast charge package. It's been a long time since i've cooked this mod in, but I thought I would give it another chance. So here are my results. After several days running the 1% battery driver with fast charge, the battery life on the MH Roms are significantly crippled. On average, I got 25% or more less charge time using that package. It was like watching the gas gauge needle on an old blown double pumper v8 muscle car, lol. Using the standard battery percentage and slower charge rate definately gives you a much longer battery life. So for the people who have wondered, or requested that addition, I will be sticking with the standard affair battery percentages and charge rates. I would also suggest not using it as well.

Just go to start/setting/connections/connections and setup a new connection under my ISP, add a new modem, the number is #777, leave username/pass/domain blank, then let er rip.

DOH! Seriously?! I had no idea that's what the provisioning cabs did... Been doing the ISP #777 data connection setup manually for years on my older WinMo phones. Thanks!

I am trying out the Titanium only ROM. I cannot seem to find a Verizon provisioning CAB. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I also cannot find the link for IE? It is on titanium home page, but not in the Start>Internet Folder. That folder is empty.

Thanks fo the help.

Edit: Sorry. Found the Verizon CAB in the wiki pages for Mighty Mike.

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Just flashed the Titanium-only ROM, manually entered my data connection settings, and installed the misc cabs and customizations I prefer. I've disabled Titanium and use the "old today" screen, since this seems to be my preference these days...

Even with my corp exchange sync and security settings configured, I have over 110MB of free RAM after soft reset! Everything is quite snappy and I'm pleased.

I had been using Silence/Super-ROMs lately because they have less "stuff" in them and tend to run with more available memory. But the MH Titanium ROM has even more memory available and has some of the 6.5.x features, other refinements, and color schemes that I prefer. Not sure if it's faster or slower -- "feels" about the same responsiveness to me. Good work (again) Dibbs!

PS: The Titanium ROM still has the double-backspace button assigned to ArkSwitch which isn't installed in the ROM. I prefer ArkSwitch anyhow so I installed the most current version which now works correctly with the button as Dibbs has configured it....

dibbson 06-02-2010 09:45 AM

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Yeah, I used the X2 taskmanager for the titanium, because of the smaller memory footprint. Tried to squeeze as much out of it as I could without losing usability. I also forgot to remove the double tap for arkswitch, oops....

geekdaddy 06-02-2010 04:14 PM

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Is there a way to disable the X2 taskmanager running on the Titanium ROM? I'm using Arkswitch and don't need to have it running in the background.

Also -- can't seem to get my bluetooth working thru the comms panel. When I try to turn it on, it stalls for a few seconds and then generates a dialog that says "Can't turn on Bluetooth". Anyone else having that problem? Not sure if it's an issue with the ROM or I broke it with a can I installed :(

DOH! My bad. Just determined that I broke-it with a power saving CAB that mucked with the bluetooth stack. uninstalled it and BT is working now. Sorry for the confusion...

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Been running the Titanium ROM since yesterday. I love this ROM so far. No bugs, quick and simple. I have never been a fan of Manila, too slow and causes too many problems. Please keep this Titanium ROM in your line-up.

Now to get greedy. In the email, is there a way to move Send/Receive up in the list? When I tap the menu, I have to scroll downa bit to find send/receive. It would be a bit easier if it was on the first page of items.

Also, I have an indication that I have 1 unread text message. I deleted all of my texts, but the indicator will not go away. If new messages come in, they are added, but the count is always off by 1. I even tried to delete all the notifications with memmaid, but it did not help. Not a big deal, but I am wondering if there is a simple fix I am overlooking.

Other than that tiny problem, texts and MMS worke just fine.

Thanks for the great ROM

Doug M.

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

You could use the "mark all as read" feature to get rid of it. The "Send/Receive" thing, I'm not sure about. I did a quick search on the net and in the registry, but found nothing off the bat. I will have to look further into menu item arrangement.

You know, I kind of miss weatherpanel myself. I'm leaving for a cruise, then a two week contract job, and simple (titanium) would work perfect. I used to use it all the time on my TP1. Think I may just flash it.

Althought all Dibbs ROM's work well!!!!!

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

Greetings.

I am still running the Titanium ROM and love it. So far, my favorite of the 4 billion ROMS I have tried. Everything seems to be running just great. Quick and light. All my favorite apps work great.

The only issue I have found is ActiveSync. I am running W7 64 bit with Mobile Device Center. When I connect the phone, it does not automatically sync. If I open Mobile Device Center,it syncs, just fine, but it does not happen automatically. I really count of ActiveSync and hope I am overlooking something simple. Is anyone aware of a fix to make the phone sync automatically?

Thanks for any advice.

Doug M.

Dibbs the updated maxsense seems to have fixed all of the bugs of the initital release. If you get a chance a test rom with it cooked in would be great. Im currently running energys rom but I cant hang up with my bluetooth headset and I keep getting 777 errors on my data connection, two problems I never have on your roms. TIA

Re: <> 5-28-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's

@123sit, someone really needs to use their beta membership more.... :s

@dw, When you plug in the USB cable, are you actually hitting the done button when the USB to PC menu pops up? I have noticed if you press done and it doesn't animate the button click, it won't auto sync sometimes. I think it is a weird thing with WMDC. Sometimes I have to try 2 or 3 times for it to auto sync sometimes, but it doesn't bother me though, as I don't want it to auto sync sometimes.
