It seems your right again, Dibbson. It must have been a theme issue for I try "HTC Black" theme and the "X" button shows well.

Little question. Is there a way we can return to where we were after unlocking the screen, wuthout having to pass by the home screen ? Example : I'm on the Internet with Opera. I turn off the screen. Than I turn it on. Slide to unlock. Then I'm in the home screen :-( . I would rather return on Opera (where I was before turning off the screen). Sorry if it's a basic question.

Dibbson, I don't know if it is the same thing or not, but the "send" button in email is blank??? It works but has nothing on it to indicate its function. Your 23559 ROM had the proper indication on the button. Could this have something to do with the "threaded email"???

Thanks

great job, but had to go back to 4-18 rom. The lock screen on the new rom doesnt stay locked if the keyboard opens or it waves by the magnet of my case. thats a deal breaker for me

Not sure off hand. Have to do some searching.

Try theme switching thing I mentioned earlier, and see if it works for that. Sometimes, wm can be funky with those icons. I have seen it before in 6.5.x, but i haven't had it happen to me on this one, yet...

i know...i use them on all your roms. this is the first one that didnt work.

actually that is the reason i started using your roms...yours were the only ones the lock screen did work correctly with the reg edits. not sure what could have changed.

yeah, not sure either, i edited my above post with a lock screen link. Something must have changed in the SYS as I have not touched the lock screen packages.

Hmm. I need the phone to stay locked. Anyhow, downloading and trying the rom now. Hope a fix is found for this issue.

Do you have any mods installed that could have broken the button (bc it is just fine on mine)? I tried a taskbar once that changed the send button in email to a black square (on another rom, of course).

dibbs, I notice your using bticonnotifier.exe now for the bluetooth icon on the taskbar. This doesn't show when I have my bluetooth headset enabled and sometimes disappears from th etaskbar completely. Any ideas?

EDIT: Did a little research and seems that it may be due to the different dialer being used, maybe? Also the newest ROM rocks as usual dibbs

Dibbs,

So far, so great!! I'm not sure if I forgot a setting or if I need to set something or if it's a cab but, when I click the top button, it used to turn off the display and lock the phone. With the new ROM, the display turns off but there's no lock.

Can I get that functionality back?

John

OK, I have been running the New build for a day now and it is working beautifully. I am no longer having my phone freeze when I receive a text message when I am writing one. I tested this before I loaded everything else on my phone just to make sure I am experiencing the OOB experience so to speak. Another killer release. Keep up the Great work. Here is a High level list of items that I have loaded and have had no problems with.

HD Tweaks
Cookie's Home Tab
Santod No Clock Background
Santod No Calendar date background (NOT Working)
Santod Mods Trans Notification bars
Santod Mods Trans Alarm Background
B4all
Astronout Win7 SMS Skin

yeah, that dialer is the best out of the ones I have overall, it's just the BT icon in the dialer is messed up for some reason. That's why i used the bticonnotifier.exe. I hate to have it like that, but I have not felt adventurous enough to go digging through the dll's in the package yet.

Looking into the locking issue, will post something when I have something. Hopefully, can just post a CAB or something soon.

Thanks Dibbs.

One thing I've noticed is that my sent text are not showing up again. They showed up yesterday right after flashing to the new ROM (and those are still there today), but texts I've sent today are not there.

I've only loaded the audio booster and my phone from your ftp. I'm not sure why one of those would mess it up.

what all did u reload with myphone? If I remember right, audio booster has been known to cause issues before, i think, although I could be wrong. If u hard reset or reflash again, and it works, load one CAB at a time to see if one them breaks it.

Well, I could see where that would make sense but...... Iflashed my wife's phone too (with your fabulous ROM) and downloaded both my phone and audio booster to her phone too.. but she has her sent messages (I was communicating with her today when I noticed).

Hmm, well that's a head scratcher then... Don't know what to tell ya really off the top of my head, since it's working on your wife's phone. Only thing I could say try is just task29, and reflash... But I will post something if I come up with anything.

yep.... not asking for anything but a thought or two. It was the same way on my phone on your last ROM... and according to her, the same way on hers. I can't bring myself to think it's my hardware though. lol

And for the record, I Task 29'ed and flashed both our phones just yesterday afternoon.

When you guys are on the messaging tab on sense and you get a new text message, are you able to scroll up to see the new text message? I can only view it on the sense tab by going to another tab and then returning to the messaging tab. Usually, I'd be able to wait a little bit, then see that I'm on the 2nd message with the ability to scroll up to the 1st message. Now when I receive a new message, it always shows I'm on the first message so that I can't scroll up to the new message.

Re: <> 5-16-2010 <}{> Medium Hill ROM's <}{> Sense 2.5 <>

I haven't had that issue currently, but I have seen that happen before on both the messaging tab and the email tab. Not sure what causes it, but seems random. The only tiny bug I personally have had so far, is I had the email tab screw up on me once. I went to press on the email to open it on the manila tab, and it just wouldn't open, animated like it did, but nothing. Soft reset fixed the issue, and haven't seen it since. I'm hoping that I can tweak the messaging client a little for the next release.

I've seen it happen when I've imported a "home" reg setting from a different rom. But I didn't import any reg settings like that. *shrugs*

I can confirm the same thing is happening for me. I've noticed it for a while now. Couldn't remember if it had always been that way. Only the sms tab. email tab seems to update.

Hey Dibbs.. havent been around for awhile, so my apologies if this has been answered.. But your past sprint roms, had tabs like twitter and sprint nav.. also updated apps such as youtube, manila 2.5, the screen cap app(forget the name), and advanced config.

Not to be intrusive, but why are these roms more basics than past ones?

I removed some stuff, to make the ROM the best out of box experience as possible. All of the stuff I removed can be installed via CAB. Went back to the HTC version of Youtube because the layout of the app is nicer, just my opinion. Advanced Config has been out for a while now (can cause possible issues in certain situations).

I did not include the MH splash image for the initial boot splash with this latest release, so you must still have it from an older build. And you may have tried task 29, but you must have used the wrong version. Use the attached version.

dibbson, whats happening. this thread is slow. You need more bugs to talk about, lol.

Currently dipping down to about ~37 mb of free ram all the time. Wish there was a way to get some back and speed this twinky up some.

Dibbs,

In reference to my sent text messages issue, it seems as though the HTC client might be the app having the problem and it's only when I reply to an existing text, not when I initiate one.

But when I click on all messages first, which I'm assuming gets me to the Windows SMS app, and reply to a text, I see it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong... I hope this helps.

John

Ehh, it is what it is.... People DL the ROM everyday, just don't post. Doesn't bother me (not like I'm in this for the fame and glamor, LOL)... less to keep up with when I don't have a crazy amount of posts everyday is the way I view it, LOL.

As far as the RAM, you must be leaving lots of stuff open. I'm sitting at 89MB free right now, but I am running a test ROM though. If I remember right, I would always hover around 50 to 70 on the regular release, but I never leave more than one or two things open at once though (I am a stickler for closing out apps).

I personally try to stay away from the 2.1 messaging client and stick with the WM default texting (I usually hit all messages). Trying to remove the 2.1 messaging client while still retaining the proper texting links for the contacts. As far as seeing a message after you send it in the 2.1 client, that works for me 100% so far (2 second delay was the worst I have had so far in the 2.1 client after sending a message and seeing it).

For people looking for a way to jump between tabs, here is a neat little app I ran across, haven't tried it yet though. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687078
