So here is my feedback -

Flashed this ROM 4 times and everytime my phone hangs later on. Either it will not restart from a soft reset...or the main screen becomes jammed...Also at one point it failed to flash anymore because even the load up (the three color screen) looked corrupted as all the letters were on top of each other. I had to then flash back to the Stock 6.5 ROM. So in general it really did not work for me.

But for the few times it did work..i love the layout and the tools!!! And I want to get it to work! I am on Verizon.

So my question is...is anyone else having such major issues with this ROM? Or is it just me?

I flased this ROM on top of another cooked ROM...I think it was the Energy 23518 ROM.

Thougts/Ideas?

so far the only issue i had was the wallpaper background on the home screen went all white. i changed the wallpaper in the settings and everything is normal. i added the nfl cabs and pandora cab and so far so good. i am on the sprint network though.

I installed Max Manila 2.81 on the previous 23518/2.5 and it ran well.........in case any want to do it also.

Did you try flashing the Rom after flashing back to stock?

I would always still flash stock before flashing my roms especially when coming from another chef. And it sounds like you had a bad flash or bad download especially since you mentioned the boot loader looked weird, my rom wouldn't effect that at all. I would say redownload and flash again.

Wallpaper issue was noted in post that contained ftp info that i posted. A small price to pay for a good looking and working BG4All.

Also, if everyone does end up having issues, please post, and i will try to fix, also 23518 Titanium Roms will be going up today

HTC Messaging is the default SMS on the SMS tab. The regular WM SMS app is start menu>accessories>text or you can put it as a quick link on your home tab. Texting was normal last night as i tried both SMS in the HTC Messaging tab, and MMS through the WM text app. And what do you mean by can't get it back, how do the messages show for you?

thanks... when you say put it on my quick link, do you mean replace the htc messages (if so, how) or just stick it on my list of program links? next, how do i change the font sizing on my messaging? the zoom bar doesn't seem to work for me...

I mean on the Home Tab, where you have the 3 square quick links with more when you scroll down. And I see what you mean about the threading, pretty weird considering it's not set to off in the registry, i just checked and it's turned on. Will have to look at this further as i can't see a reason as to why it would not be working. Gonna try something real fast and i will report back to you.

I will, but i was running the 21889 roms since i posted them, and they have been running really solid, almost scared to touch them, lol. It may not be today though for the update on those, trying to sort through some 23518 stuff.

do the 21899 roms that are up support the landscape bg4all? i thought you figured that stuff out after you posted them up? btw, im still running your rom from 1-9-10 and its still running great, so im not compaining, lol

this is the base cab, without a couple of edits, but it works just the same. the screen will be white when it first loads, just select wallpapers.

Working some kinks out of the 23518 Sense 2.5 ATM as i was etremely tired when i uploaded those, and the phone itself could have told me it didn't have any issues and i would have believed it, lol

no problem, any of the wallpapers from the ftp or through the updater will work with that if you like any of the wallpapers.

So after I flash the Verizon 23518 version...do I still need to apply the carrier cab? I did not see any specific instructions around that on the first page.

Also any set of specifics on getting MMS to work? Or is it working out of the box?

Carrier is cooked in, no need to run provisioning cab.

MMS Works through WM default Text App in Start Menu>Accessories>Text or you could put that app as a quick link on your Home Tab. HTC Messaging will work for SMS just not MMS.

Also I will be updating the 23518 Sense 2.5 ROM's again today sometime. Sorry i know how we all hate to flash so much, lol ;)

Hi dibbson - I just flashed the 23518 Sense ROM you posted this morning, and I got an XML error on initial startup, specifically

Run XML\windows\APPostConfig.XML failed Code: 0x80004005

I did a soft reset and it came up fine the second time. Just want to make you aware.

Had a similar issue...it got stuck the first time it came up after flashing...did a soft reset and then it started to move further along.

Hmmm, your the second verizon user to get that message, but it has been awhile since it happened the first time. It's hard for me to do Verizon stuff as i'm on Sprint. I think alot of this came from newer Carrier files guys, i'm testing a reverted version now, this is why i mentioned the update on the Sense 2.5 roms. Testing things now. Will keep you posted.

Ok, thanks to the help of djkid, i've got some issues sorted out, and finishing up with the 23518 Sense 2.5 re-update. I've got to step out and fax some business papers real quick, but expect a newer better version tonight as well as the titanium builds. With updated 21889 probably tomorrow now due to the technical difficulties of today.

I don't know if this has been asked yet...
any chance of incorporating xda_uc into your ROMS? Or maybe SDConfig?

Or is there another existing approach to auto installing cabs?

All of my stuff is OEMs, I took anything that was cab (which wasn't but maybe 2 or 3) and made an OEM. Are you just wanting something to catch the sdconfig.txt on your sdcard?
