I don't want to use JMZ Prov as it is limited to SPCS, VZ, and Telus only, and i'm sure the USCC people wouldn't like being left out. I have a very nice way of doing this. Basically when the phone boots the first time, this will find all cab files referenced in the config.txt as well as those found in \Windows, \Storage Card\Boot, and \Storage Card. It will then give you a checklist so you can choose to install or skip each cab. After you click install it will rewrite the config.txt, delete it's own startup link (if you use it), run autorun.exe (which it extracts from itself), and soft-reset your device (if you choose to reset from the menu). I will include all carrier prov cabs, and all carrier arcsoft mms cabs. Sound Good? Yes, well, i'm almost done making some changes, when i finish this, all i need are the newest best working provisioning cabs.

Sound good, but i would limit the search to specific directory or two, not the entire \Storage Card.

Looking forward for your next build.:occasion5:

that means the root of the storage card not every folder.

Glad everyone is onboard with the UC app. Well, start posting some prov cabs, so when i get done with these edits, all i have to do is drop those in and begin a upload for a broader base test besides just me.

Hey dibbson did you ever consider running a 6.1 Rom with Manilla 2.5? There are a few other threads with this config and the speed is unbelievable. I'm just curious if you've done any tinkering. I'm not requesting it per se but everyone in your thread seems to love you and your responsiveness and desire to come out with quality Roms.

Re: <> 01-25-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <> Sense 2.5 & Titanium <> SYS 21889 & 23518

The thought of alot of variants have crossed my mind. But i'm trying to go from 12 roms to 4 with UC carrier provisioning. I also have 2.1 in mind (which is being tweaked and worked out, it's just slow cuz of everything else). I do have the newest 6.1 21056. I just do not like the start menu in 6.1 but thats just me. Maybe when I have some downtime i can tinker with something like that. But yeah, it would probably boot at around 20% to 28% mem usage though. As i can get 6.5 down to 28% and Sense 2.5 down to around 34% on first boot. You can squeeze even more if you tried.

EDIT: nevermind about the cabs, i took time out and took care of it myself.

Ok, flashing first test rom now. I will see how this one goes and go from there. Hopefully the prov cabs are good. If this goes good and no major issues, i will pm my testers to test, and we will go from there. Will let you know how this flash goes. Trying the newest dialer available now with some tweaks.

yeah, i havent finished that section yet. I am "trying" to get there. Oh, and I have a test rom i am uploading. This is a test to see if the newer provisioning works. This was my second choice provisioning, still working on the first choice. This is very beta.

Provisioning Test ROM PM's have been sent enjoy, and let me know what you think. This is mainly to make sure the CAB's are working properly and to test a few other things. The hybrid rhodiumw core did not make it into this unfortunately as there are still some issues to work out. Anyways, let me know what you think. Telus is added to the lineup now as well as a generic carrier.

how did i forget you in the PM's lol. I meant to send you a link. PM sent. Also, since i'm narrowing it down from 12 to 4 roms (thanks to provisioning), I will be able to give each 1 of the 4 ROM's more individual love and care, so each release will be as good as it can be, instead of me wrestling with 12 and possibly more as a 2.1 release is on the horizon in the next couple of weeks. And I might tinker with a 6.1, but those two will be a one shot deal, they will be one sys instead of 2 like i do now, so 6.1 will be a Sense 2. 5 (although a straight 6.1 with nothing on it would be hilarious to see how much mem% you would have at boot, lol), and a 6.5 or 6.5.x Sense 2.1. , just have one more thing to do. So Anyways, i'm rambling, but the provisioning test is a 23518 Sense 2.5 ROM, and it will be the first one up of the 4, and I promise everyone, i'm gonna take my time and make this one and all of them awesome! I may not update as often, on each individual one, but they will be stable, fast, good battery life, and .... well you get the point. The less ROM's i have to work with the better I can make them. Also updater app will be getting another upgrade soon. It will be an inhouse ROM update system. I will have all 4 NBH's on the FTP already named correctly in diff directories. When you download one, it will auto erase the previous one (move it off the root of the storage card if you want to save it), then it will download and place the NBH on the root of your storage, then it will give you the option to soft reset and flash ROM. Doesn't get any easier than that. Anyways, Hope everyone that is testing enjoys, and for everyone else, you got some good stuff coming your way.

I'm a happy user of your 23518 Verizon ROM from 1/21. After trying Mal ROMs, 777 Roms, etc. It's stable wiith very few issues- I've been following the threads and watched some of the other releases hit - but it doesn't look like the new VZ release is out fo the 23518 version - Is that in the works?

All the test roms i sent out were all the same, no diff between carriers. The arcsoft cabs, just adds the specific server addresses for your carrier if i'm not mistaken.

Like the new updater. Like the fact that on the last rom I linked all of my contacts to facebook but had to set each one up individually, now i did it once and all of my contacts are synced, yay! Well except for #3 below.

Issues:

1. Incoming ringer now works. However I had to go to manilla settings and change it to be a Single Volume, otherwise the icon in the taskbar will not coordinate (ex. ringer is on but system volume is off, taskbar shows sound is off)

2. Bluetooth now works. However I don't get a bluetooth icon in the taskbar. No way to know its on unless I go to comm manager.

3. The contact tab in manilla is now useless with the standard wm dialer, push on them and they do nothing.

I feel like with manilla you got to leave in all of the htc stuff dialer, volume, etc or stuff doesn't get coordinated.

Might be old news but also the text notification in manilla tab still doesn't work on the 1-24 build.

What if Dibbs were to focus on getting a Titanium build stable first? Sense 2.5 (Leo) wasn't really meant for the TP2, so mods have been done over time to support landscape, etc. Even some basic stuff (i.e. Volume Control or Contacts Tab that PropagandaX mentioned in his last post) seem to be more Sense than OS related.

If he can get a rock solid Titanium (core) build, any issues with the subsequent Sense 2.5 build should be easier to troubleshoot.

Thoughts?

I wasn't trying to suggest that he take Sense away entirely. I was thinking that if he knew he had a reliable WM Core, it would allow him to focus purely on getting the Sense issues worked out quicker, as he wouldn't need to be looking at the entire package each time a bug is reported.

It was just an idea - don't want to start a rumble! :occasion5:
