It's not supposed to come on unless you hold the power button down for longer than a couple of seconds. If it comes on no matter how quickly you press, then there's something wrong - maybe a bad flash - I don't really know.

That's 6.5.3 / WM for ya! I still can't figure out why MS wants us to keep all these friggin' apps open & running all the time, makes no sense.

But - Showcase is cooked into the light rom, so you can press the upper right hand corner of the screen (an 'x' will pop up to let you know you hit the right hot-spot), and the app will close instead of minimizing.

Footprints is installed, but does not work as it requires the LEO camera, which also doesn't work on the TP. I know a few chefs have Footprints working in their ROMs. Dunno, but think it's unlikely that a .cab fix exists since it requires some very core changes to the device & manila packages.

I've been focusing on other things (speed, stability, aesthetics) as Footprints is a relatively lower priority for me.

Yes, it's easy with the following registry code (to use, copy the code to a textfile, rename 'whatever.reg' and import to registry using reg editor of choice)

I wonder what browser you're using? But whichever, I would try a different one. Or several. Chrome, Firefox, Opera.


Also, stupid question but are you using a 7zip capable program? I've seen people try to use zip programs and then they report the file is corrupted. I think I use either izarc or tugzip. one of those can do it.

7zip is the best, and it's free. WinRAR can also do 7zip, I used to use it, but once I switched to 7zip I never looked back. Faster, better compression, smaller footprint, etc...
