Icons are a two-part process - you have to have the icon .png file plus a registry entry to associate it with the link file. I recommend you use ReStart (comes with my big ROM), you can download it here.

Just copy the icons you wish to use into the Program Files/ReStart/icons folder that the installation creates, then they'll be accessible from ReStart for you to easily associate with the links in the start menu.

Hey Lunacie, I found a workaround for changing the lockscreen wallpaper. If you use the WM's Pictures & Videos app and set a picture as your background, this uses the picture as your lockscreen wallpaper as well as your start menu background.

Ok, Tried out the lite and it does work. After the flash dance, and receiving 1 call my memory isjust a tad under 17 MB free. Everything ( To Me ) seems a bit sluggish. Just about the only rom i've had very good luck with so far is Nemesis http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=60807 But the last update was back near the end of Oct.

Try raising the pagepool to 12mb. You'll have less free RAM, but the overall experience should be more fluid. The pagepool size will be directly proportional to how fast the interface feels.

Naturally a ROM created prior to Oct. is going to use less ram & resources because it will not have had Sense 2.5, a larger set of pacakges than Manila 2.1.

We're stuffing Sense 2.5 into a device that was never even meant to run TF3D at all... it's going to suck at some point, no matter what.

This is precisely why, even though I'm on the VZW network, I chose to buy a Sprint TP off eBay and go through the nightmarish process of getting it integrated into the VZW network.

So how to I unlock if I hit the lock icon above the clock on the right? I searched the thread but couldn't find an explanation for that one. Or do I just not use that and disable it in the settings?

Disable it in the settings. I'll be uploading a new version tonight or tomorrow morning without the lockscreen mod - it's just not working in my ROM right now, unfortunately.

Hey Lunacie,

Any way you can cook QuickGPS into your Lite ROM? I had it on a previous ROM and it made my GPS experience awesome, and on this ROM it's a crapshoot to get the weather tab to find my location and the other apps like Google Maps / Bing.

I was able to download a QuickGPS cab but it was giving me issues running it, and now that I have the app actually loading, it's not connecting.

Any help's appreciated!

Thanks for keeping us Verizon gimps in mind. The lite version really helps keep from seeing the dreaded 'not enough memory' message off the darn screen.
I wish there were more rom's with this in mind.

Rom runs awesome on my VZW phone but the only problem I'm having is that the start menu icons are starting to blur together. I've had this problem with other roms and can't seem to figure it out....any ideas?

I have had that happen after installing GPS fixes on some ROMs for some reason.
