This is the third ROM I have flashed to that does not allow me to connect to Xbox Live. When I try I get the message that my MTU settings are not high enough.I am starting to wonder if it has anything to do with Calkulin's kitchen base. I have not had this problem with NRGY's, NFS's, or Raidzero's ROM's. I wish it would work with this because this is my FAVORITE ROM period.

I installed the lite version on my Verizon touch pro. When I go to the photos tab I get the following message:

"The file 'AlbumSearcher' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file"

Any ideas?

That one I have no idea about - don't know anything about xbox live... can you be more specific about the process and how the connection works, technically?

Sounds like a glitched flash. Try re-flashing the rom. You could, to be safe, flash a stock rom first, then flash the custom.

I like the BW icons, too, but don't have any graphics mods for now. I used to do my own manila graphics mods (2.1), but haven't yet as I'm still digging just the default look. I'm sure I'll get tired of it soon and start tinkering with the manila files again.

Hey Lunacie,

I too prefer the stock slider (the silver one) and slider bar (non-transparent) than the clear ones you use on your ROMs. Do you have those manila files?

I am not entirely sure what THE contributing factor is that allows it to happen. It could be something in registry settings or it could be something specific to the ROM itself. Before my phone was unlocked and flashed to a custom ROM I had the same issue with the Stock Alltel ROM. I could not connect to Xbox Live, the internet no problem but Xbox Live, nata.

The Xbox itself has a troubleshooting process you go through when connecting. First it connects to the router, which in this case is my phone. Then it attempts to connect to the internet. Once that is done it attempts to connect to Xbox Live's servers. This is where the connection fails and I receive a message that the MTU settings are too low. Xbox Live requires at least 1364.

When I first started encountering this problem I thought it would be a specific fix with increasing the TCP window number. That has not been the case. As I stated before I believe it is ROM specific in that the settings in the ROM, or the kitchen base, are the contributing factors to this not working. It does connect without a problem with NRGY's, Raidzero, and NFSFAN's ROM's. Why I am not sure but with ROM's that seem to be based on Calkulin's and Psyki's Kitchen, it does not. Which of course is unfortunate because I have found that those ROM's tend to be the best with regard to functionality and battery life.

I do not know if a solution can be found to this specific issue.

hey i love the rom soo far is the most stable rom out there...i used to be with energy but his roms lately have been too buggy...i just have one question is there anyway when you go to either music or the picture on the sense to make the start menu hide on the 23518-32

FYI, I disabled Showcase and installed ArkSwitch. It's close, but not exactly fully ready yet. Couldn't get apps to close using it. I recommend you try the app first.

i installed the lite ver on my spring touch pro and im having the same issues as mentioned above. i have tried reinstalling the rom like 4 times now but nothing, im hoping you can take a look at it and maybe come up with a quick fix. this is the best rom i have tested so far everything is working with metro. big kudos..:occasion5:

I actually have arkswitch working fine on mine - closes the apps. I just don't like the visuals, but it's a good app, for sure.

Can't wait till amarullz is all married and stuff so he can get back to the really important things like developing showcase and porting manila 2.5.1922! (ha)

Which ROM did you try the ArkSwitch on? I was trying it on the 28011-29 and the close buttons didn't work at all. Trying the 23518 now to see if it's the same way.

after many unistalls and reinstalls now my mms wont work, i tried Metro WAP and Arcsoft 5_0_70_24 and that seem to fix it but then the audio and battery icons on the status bar changed to the stock ones and when clicked would do nothing, battery reports its full when in fact is not. so i then unistalled the cab and the icons return to normal but no mms. would be cool if you can make a lite rom without any mms soft in it so people can install and uninstall them as needed. this is my fav rom and im not giving up on it i hope i can work it out with your help. and like always good work bro.


well i have managed to fix everything but the albumsearch.exe error im afraid that one is on you =)

Lune, Same thing here. flashdance to the 23518-32L Albumsearcher error appears. Flashdance to 23518-32 regular and the error is gone. Flashdance back to the Lite version and the error is back.

Still no go. Other things happened with this one.

• The screen alignment is off.
• The theme is the Windows Classic rather then amarulzBlack. Not sure if that's on purpose.
• When you go to file manager, click menu, the graphics are glitched. The menu takes about 15-20 seconds before it appears but it's all messed up.

At this point I flashed danced back to the full version.

Damn. I think I know why screen alignment is off, will check why amarulz isn't default (though it should be an option). File manager - I never use it, but I guess without total commander in the lite version there's no choice initially. No idea why that would be messed up.

Well, at least I know I can fix a couple of things. It's annoying how much flakier the simpler ROM is than the full one. Of course I test the full one more 'cause it's the one I use personally.

I can't seem to get my GPS to be more accurate than 1400 meters. Google Maps just isn't having a good time with this. It's not even close to knowing where I really am. Is there a fix for this that I missed? I already flashed back to stock and then back to this ROM. Anyone else with this issue?

EDIT: scratch that. I didn't see the second menu in Google Maps to "Turn on GPS". I'm a dope. For any other novices like myself, Google Maps uses aGPS to locate you when GPS is turned off. It uses cell towers to find your location instead of the satellites, hence the highly inaccurate 1400 meter circle.

I do have to say that this ROM is running really well for me. I had one issue today...I got an error trying to open Google Maps. I did a soft reset, and it just couldn't load HTC Sense anymore. I had to do a hard reset. Weird.

Amarulz is an option along with the Classic, I changed that. I also tried to navigate to the screen align program to manually trigger it, but kept getting distracted by the popup menu issue. :/

The menu graphic issue happens 100% of the time when a popup menu is normally shown, even if you goto a TF3D Tab that has the Menu option it glitches. I got it once while I was just navigating the directories with File Manager but couldn't duplicate that one instance.

I know what you mean regarding the testing. I happen to like the idea of the Lite one because there's allot of programs I use alternates of or just don't use in the full version. Unfortunately, I can't remove them so I'm just stuck with them taking up space. I have SASHIMI setup to work with both the Full and the Lite versions, so I get everything I need everytime I flash. :)

Do you know which ROM you tried? I've tried all 4 of them (28011 full/lite and 23518 full/lite) and don't recall that particular issue myself. But maybe we can try to duplicate it and get the information to Lune.

Im having problems to put a picture as wallpaper on the manila 2.5 im tabing on the weather wallpaper and it doesnt work not even on the animated wallpaper can anyone know how to fix this problem????

Try navigating to the wallpaper using File Manager. Tap and hold on the image you want and select use as background (or whatever it's called). This is the way we had to do it back before HTC made things easier. :)

You can also work around this by opening the Album program, closing it with the X, and then clicking on the 'Weather wallpaper' or 'animated wallpaper'. It'll open the album so you can choose a wallpaper.

I edited the post to clarify. I didn't realize there was a second menu in Google Maps because I didn't see an arrow indicating more options below on the screen. Anyway, there was an option to turn on GPS, which solved the issue.

What I learned is that Google Maps uses cell tower triangulation to locate you when GPS is off. This never happened on my stock ROM with Win 6.1.

Just want to stop by to mention how awesome this ROM has been. Everything works in this ROM. Text and MMS works straight out on Sprint. Unlike some of the other ROMs I tried. Thank you for the work.

This rom works great on Cellular South in the Memphis TN area, running 23518-32 which is Sense 2.5.

Is that the HTC call log, or the WM call log? ie dialer invokes HTC, notifications invokes WM

Right now I don't have a notification, so I can't get WM log - but it didn't strike me as off. Not that I'd have probably noticed anyway...

SYS leaks have been very slow lately, so there's nothing radically new on the horizon. That'll probably change a bit after MWC.

I'm going to be working my arse of over the next 6 weeks, may not be able to get much done in the way of cooking, but I'm due to get a more stable (hope!) lite version of 23518 out in the next day or two.

It may be the WM one, it's the one that launches when you get a missed cal and tap the notification icon to see it. It launches the default history rather then the HTC history.

No missed calls right now, so I can't press the button to take a screen shot. :/

Rom has been awesome. But lat 2 days it has reset randomly twice (like a hard reset) and erased everything. anyone else get this? very frustrating.
