[ROM][01-13]WM 6.5.5 23518 Manila 2.5&Titanium [UC/Sashimi] - FINAL TP RELEASE

THIS IS THE ROM THREAD. FOR KITCHEN SUPPORT PLEASE VISIT THE KITCHEN THREAD

Hello again. After not being able to find what I am looking for in my Kitchen & ROM thread, I decided to switch to two threads. One for kitchen and one for ROMs. Should make it much easier on all of us.

The current build can be found in the subject of the thread, since it changes all the time. I will only update screenshots if something changes.

Oh yeah, if you like it but want to tweak it a bit then just go for it and dive into the kitchen thread! If you do make something of your own and decide to release all I ask is you include me in your credit list .. I do work (play) hard at this ;)

The ROMs are just what the kitchen produces when it is fed respective values. There are no tricks or secrets in the ROMs.

I also have no problem with anyone distributing my ROMs, but as you can see I have added PPCGeeks.com to the about screen so no matter where it ends up, people will know where it came from :)

Old releases:

Download 23506 HTC Sense 2.5 ROM (Titanium & Manila 2.5)
(This manila build is very beta and very stock, I have tested it as much as I can over the past day and it is stable and has no bugs that I can find. The only thing is 2.5 SMS does not work on TP, yet. We still have to use WM style SMS/MMS messaging.)

Download 23506 ROM (Titanium & Manila 2.1)
Download 23506 Kitchen

Reserved for user-submitted cabs and stuff:

I just made this windows live + windows IM cab! (made from 28014 SYS files) it works, should work on all TP and TP2 :)

"SIM CARD MISSING" on the new amarullz messenging deal. i really luv that new setup & this rom seems to be super amazing fast. never quite experienced a 2.5 rom with this quickness. wonder if its a regedit i need to do to fix that sms problem.

edit: after searching the xda thread i'm attempting this:
REGEDIT4

; Reg To Disable Messaging Client in Manila
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Manila://PeopleDetail\\peopleMessage.page.hidden"=dword:000 00002
"Manila://PeopleDetail\\peopleMessageClassic.page.hidden"=dw ord:00000000
"Manila://PeopleDetail_SIM\\peopleMessage.page.hidden"=dword :00000002
"Manila://PeopleDetail_SIM\\peopleMessageClassic.page.hidden "=dword:00000000

; Reg for GSM
"People.Message.IsCDMA"=dword:00000000

; Reg for CDMA

& it seems to be a success. so anyone who gets this error. just use a registry editor & change the 0 to a 1 =]

Re: [ROM][11-28]WM 6.5.1 23511 Manila 2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi]

thx for the work.

23511 - this version has the new appointment clock smudge issue.
also, the titles of each section have a white, unreadable font.
these are both only in manila 2.5 - calendar, not the regular calendar.

Lovin the speedy ROM- Having trouble finding input under START > SETTINGS > PERSONAL > INPUT.

Not sure where it went, but I am looking to enable the autocomplete suggested recipients in the TO: field in SMS when you start typing. Currently it does not provide suggested recipients.

I believe you can fix this by turning on xT9 or messing with the settings there but I havn't had any luck in finding out where it is in this ROM. Any suggestions? THANKS! :)

Usually I just use new builds for new roms, if I do make another ROM with the same buid it will have its own version number. I will be slowing down with the ROM/Kitchen business though, it is becoming an obsession and I can see it potentially stunting my professional growth, plus I had a fight with my wfe over it this weekend...

Plenty of behind the scenes stuff. We should see improved memory management and lower CPU usage, better battery life comes with that.

I did not include ezinput SIP. Since I use fingerkeyboard, it is the only input method included. xT9 only works with ezinput.

Go into settings>system>keyboard config to map your buttons.

Opera 10 is nice, but does not (in my experience) integrate fully with manila and leaks memory...

sure, if this doesn't help i'll ask you to msg me on aim/yahoo/google or something so i can walk you thru it. this is the area you want to be in.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]

once you find this location. you need to find the actual entry that needs changed, its in the long list you will see this

"People.Message.IsCDMA"=dword:00000001

except it will not have a 1, it will be all 0's. you need to "EDIT" that field & change the 0 to a 1.

remember after making any regedits, you must soft reset your device to take effect.

also on this particular rom build, you will want to use the latest packages from XDA which i've attached. once you do the regedit, you will need to update your package for the classic messenging to work properly so you dont get a SMS from your carrier saying the message could not be sent.

this only applies to the use of "manila messaging" not the standard WM messaging.

hollar if you need help.

I like the ROM so far, but the BT Explorer doesn't seem to work. In the "Supported Profiles" it doesn't even mention it.

BT Explorer is pretty make or break for me. Will it make it back in for the next release?

edit: after searching the xda thread i'm attempting this:
REGEDIT4

; Reg To Disable Messaging Client in Manila
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Manila://PeopleDetail\\peopleMessage.page.hidden"=dword:000 00002
"Manila://PeopleDetail\\peopleMessageClassic.page.hidden"=dw ord:00000000
"Manila://PeopleDetail_SIM\\peopleMessage.page.hidden"=dword :00000002
"Manila://PeopleDetail_SIM\\peopleMessageClassic.page.hidden "=dword:00000000
"People.MessageClient.Disable"=dword:00000001

; Tweaks Max SMS Per Page:
"People.Message.ItemPerPage"=dword:00000019

; Reg for GSM
"People.Message.IsCDMA"=dword:00000000

; Reg for CDMA
; "People.Message.IsCDMA"=dword:00000001

& it seems to be a success. so anyone who gets this error. just use a registry editor & change the 0 to a 1 =]

Sorry to hear that. Glad you are slowing down. Thanks for the ROMs.

You should pick a day/span of time (hopefully one you can go without getting the shakes) and put your phone on vibrate. While you're in front of her and she can see you, put your phone under something. Play dumb and say you can't find your phone, and you guess you'll have to look for it sometime in the distant future (like the next day or many hours later). Then go do something fun (not phone related).

lol my bad, i made the assumption you were on 2.5, and for 2.1 i had to install 3 cabs for mms

1.install remove arcsoft/mms
2.install arcsoft 5.0.69.44
3.install dcd_verizon_carrier_20090831

thats the method i have always used when on 2.1 roms,i never got the problem your having but then again the first time i flashed to 2.1 i had the cabs ready to install and have every time i flash 2.1 roms

Anyone have an issue when someone calls them the display doesn't show anything. Basically I can't see who is calling, but I can hit the Phone call button to answer. Weird. Anyone have a quick fix for that?

I had/have that problem and I was told that sometimes the phones can't handle everything at the same time. Does this happen when you are doing something else only? If so, then that is the reason and you need to accept it until a fix can be found. If not the case, then smarter people will have to give all of us the info. Hopefully this helps a little.

After placing my backup PIM file back onto my device and rebooting, HTC Sense will not launch, and my contacts won't launch either. If I remove the PIM so it rebuilds a new one, everything will launch fine after reboot. Any solution to this?

I found a problem with the newest build 23511. When clicking on the SMS message from the main menu, it won't let me reply because it requires a SIM card.

The dialer has the scroll bar showing up as well.

Not sure if there are quick fixes to either but wanted to share.

a change fonts thread on XDA has a ton.

have a go-to, because the fonts are changed just about everywhere, including web font. can be tough to read a cool font that looks good on your home page applications when the font is on the web, too.

sorry, can't find the link. sure i saved it somewhere. when i find it, i'll post it.

Just incase anyone wants to know, installing the uncabbed manilla Nomessage update isn't so hard. You just have to drop all the files in your windows folder, and otherwise delete the one XML file and copy the others to Windows and ManillaXML. Only like 10 minutes work really.
