been reading lots of threads and rstg's rom isn't exclusive on this,apparently been a issue for lots of 2.5 ported vga roms both cdma and gsm,but like you said it's strange it will work on some builds and not others...........just like rstg trying to fix it other chefs have tried as well and from what i can gather they all end with same results....................damn you all for getting me wondering about this lol

This whole sense 2.5 is very beta. People forgot to read that when they signed up for this gig. Tonight I've got some new goodies for you all, and then I'll sign off for a couple days so I can have some quality Christmas time with family, now I'm trying to ensure my ppcgeeks family has some good toys so you'all can play while bored at yours!

Thanks. It does work, that was the first one I had tried. I suppose it's just the phone being slow and causing problems rather than the software itself being the problem. No biggee...

I'm also interested in getting the InCallRecorder to work as well. It's included in the ROM so was hoping it's suppose to work. I tried installing it as a separate file and ran through all the instructions that others have used to get it to work on different roms and it appears it's not going to work on this one. Well, not on my phone anyway.

As for the activesync problems being mentioned recently here...I've had none. Not with RSTG 12/20/09 Rom anyway. I had plenty activesync woes with other roms though, which oddly enough led me to this one (of which seems to be getting these complaints).

You guys aren't noobs, but plenty of people are, so I've always thought it would be a good idea for ROM'ers© (ha, ya, I'm coining the term) to put up a message for ROM'ies© lol to remember to disable their "faster data sync" option as a first response to syncing issues such as device not being recognized. Again, that message is just for noobs, not the people having other sync issues right now.

Since I upgraded to the new dialer I hadn't checked it. There is no option for it, I'll look into it tonight cause that is one I do use!

Yea RSTG, it's 2 days before Christmas--take a break...I am by no means dissapointed by 12-18, it's running great!

Yep, disable faster data transfer is the first thing i look for with sync problems.

EDIT: One thought, is active sync killer cooked in????

Same for me, faster data transfer has never worked for me, I have always had to disable that to have my phone recognized. The sync with Outlook is really the only reason I use it at all. As usual I am loving the ROM though. Keep up the great work RSTG, After the Holidays that is.

Looking forward to seeing the new goodies you have for us tonight though!!
