Re: *Updated March 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.5 ROMs
I really hope this isn't true, especially since the 1.06 changelog was posted. If it is true, it is a shame, since his ROMS were the only ones that ever really worked on my phone. I was looking forward to one last update before I jump ship for the Evo.

Re: *Updated March 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.5 ROMs
Bugs I have noticed:
1. iguidance tts (text to speech) won't work so it won't read street names. 2. If you install Gyrator and are in a call and flip the phone horizontally, the whole phone application shows a massive graphics error. 3. When texting there is a lag once you send the text and drop back into all the SMS messages screen. Sometimes its a short lag other times its much more noticeable. 4. SMS is constantly saving drafts. |

Couldn't agree more... I was looking forward to one last windows ROM before making the leap to Andro (gulp). Thanks NSF for the great work in the past, and best of luck!

It does seem odd that he wouldn't share this or at least mark this ROM discontinued. I hope we do get another update, but if not, I'll keep using his awesome ROM until I get a new phone.

Re: *Updated March 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.5 ROMs
I have a quick question for those of you using the 1.05 release... is this the version set to disable itself on 5/1? I am on another ROM right now that is working well, but would like to flash to the latest NFS v1.05 and not be SOL as a result... assuming 1.06 really doesn't arrive, that is....

Re: *Updated March 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.5 ROMs
I went ahead and put my calendar to 5/31 at 11:59pm. It went into June 1st without any issues so I'm assuming we don't have any time bomb on this software.
Also I spent an hour last night outside with my Pro sitting out on a rock in the middle of a field trying to get a GPS acquisition. I wasn't able to pull anything. Does anyone have some tips? I'm running the Telus radio. At least with my old Titan the GPS apps could see the satellite appearing and disappearing, but this doesn't seem to see anything. Edit: This phone has a mind of its own. I powered up the HTC GPS tool and 8 satellites with a 3D lock in 10 seconds. Whatever! It's working now. Last edited by frenchie; 05-26-2010 at 02:12 PM. |
