Re: *Updated February 3rd* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs

About the task manager/lockup issues
I was having the same lockup problems while arkswitch was running, especially when the phone was charging... I removed arkswitch from the startup folder and installed taskfacade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420220) and the problems have disappeared. I, personally, like taskfacade better anyway but probably just because I'm used to it. I also mapped holding the back button to bring up taskfacade.
Hope that helps some of you guys...

I'm trying it out now! I was a little sad at the prospect of rolling back to an older version. I like the new Sense UI a lot.

actually I use arcsoft for my mms to work. I use the recent version of it 5.2xx. and i changed the server from the sprint default too the USCC version. the nfsfan cab is mainly for your GPS i believe. I hope this helps you.

Here are the steps for mms....

once u have the arcsoft 5.2xx installed soft reset and follow these steps to have mms working fully on a USCC device!

1. start>text>menu>mms options>servers>new

......then fill in what you see below

2. Server name:USCC
gateway: (leave it blank)
port number:80
server addess:http://mmsc1.uscc.net/mmsc/mms
connect via: data connection
speed limit: 500k

I use this method for EVERY rom and I have had no problems at all.

Yet another option I use is to use the keyboard config app built into the rom and map a double click of the center dpad button to bring up arkswitch. I also use keyboard config to map a double click of the home key to bring up the start menu. I just got a diamond and I really, really, really miss the "it just works" nature of the raphael keyboard config app.

I know touch is all the rage in phones these days but there's something really satisfying about the tactile feedback you get from hitting a hard key.

No joy Seems the only way I can make the phone stable is by not using Sense UI. Hopefully I have better luck with the next release.

LOVE this ROM! Any cab/mod to modify the quicklinks from 3x2 to like a 4x3? Basically I want more quicklinks.

Scratch this. My phone stopped letting me execute programs (including taskfacade) so I held down power and pressed yes to turn off my phone. It then wouldn't power on. Pulled the battery and then it powers on. After it finished booting the phone was in a defaulted state and had be go through the screen calibration and all my settings were wiped.

This is the only time I've ever had issues with an NFSFAN ROM

Re: *Updated February 3rd* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs

Love the ROM but i keep having issues with it locking up. I have to reset the phone about 5 times a day. Not sure if its an issue on my end or not but it never happened until i loaded the ROM on.

Re: *Updated February 3rd* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs

I love the rom. Very fast and fun. Yes I said fun. Im enjoying it very much. Very detailed, even down to having the phone codes build in.

Question about task mngr. Like most, I like the old way of managing tasks by holding the X button in the open app, and the app is closed. This mngr does not offer that without opening the mngr and then closing app, so I installed e-natives showcase. My question is this. Does anyone see a problem having both task mngrs on the phone at the same time? (conflicts, battery, ect) I dont notice any problem but thought I should ask the pros. I thought about deleting the task mngr that came with this rom using total commander, but I thought I better ask first.

Re: *Updated February 3rd* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs

I just flashed this to my tp and like the rom. One think i noticed is there is no "block recognizer" selection under input. Anyway to add this? I learned the palm shorthand a long time ago and would miss it.

Thanks,
