Hi, jus installed this ROM. I was playing around with it and tried to changed the background when I selected the purple theme?(i believe) And now the Start button at the left bottom disappeared. Anyone know how to get it back? revert to the original?

Thanks

For me, i had to hard reset. I think there is a bug in the ROM that doesnt allow you to change theme. The problem will get worse and worse.

Re: EmpiROM - Featuring TellMe & WM6.5.1 - Fast, Stable, Sleek. For Touch Pro.

For some reason, when I install this ROM I get about 2 days before my phone loses its memory completely and goes back to the "align screen". I'm using Google Mobile Sync with the phone, but that's about it in terms of weird stuff. My carrier is Sprint. I didn't have this problem before with MightyRom.

Has anyone else had this problem? Or do I now have a broken Touch Pro?

Re: EmpiROM - Featuring TellMe & WM6.5.1 - Fast, Stable, Sleek. For Touch Pro.

of all the roms ive played with, this one is by far the most stable rom i've tried on my TP. now, ive noticed some things that i dont know if they can be fixed:

1. when dialing out, if i mis-dial someone and want to hangup ASAP, it wont disconnect the call and the phone app does not respond until the call drops by the other party.

2. internet explorer links will not open when zoomed out, so it only works when i zoom into the link and tap it.

hoping that the chef responds to this!

Haven't seen this
Only app giving be trouble is Bing, it locks up the phone. But, it did that on the standard Sprint ROM. I loaded the last "LiveSearch" version and it's working fine.

Re: EmpiROM - Featuring TellMe & WM6.5.1 - Fast, Stable, Sleek. For Touch Pro.

I have 2 questions for you guys:

1. To run the battery save mode is installing the cab from the start menu that came with the rom all you have to do? When i install it the battery doesnt seem to last any longer and im not sure what settings it changes.

2. This just started: when I wake the phone and go to my lock screen to unlock the phone the clock always says 12:00 am but the clock on touchflo is the correct time. Anyone know why that would be the case? Ive soft reset the phone and it fixed the problem for a short time but started doing it again. Not really a problem because theres another small clock in the upper right corner that shows the correct time but its strange.

Re: EmpiROM - Featuring TellMe & WM6.5.1 - Fast, Stable, Sleek. For Touch Pro.

I've had EmpiRom installed for about 2 weeks now and I am getting lag out of nowhere.

Opening Text messages, half of the screen is drawn with the txt program and half is my homescreen.

I'm getting lag opening progams when I never did before. I havent installed anything on top of the flash, either.

Why would it work smooth for a week then start hiccuping?

I've been having similar problems too. And you are right, I didn't have these problems previously. I found a soft reset sometimes fixed it.

I do have a weird lag problem. When typing a text, often times I keep typing but nothing shows up for a few seconds, then it will quickly type. However, it only buffers about 5-10 characters and the lag can last for 3-5 seconds. Therefore I may have to retype quite a lot. Previously if this ever happened on other roms, I could just keep typing and it would eventually catch up.

I also have been having hardware keyboard problems where I type and nothing happens. At first I thought this was the historic TP keyboard problems, but a soft reset would fix it. I didn't think that was common of the normal TP problems.

Edit: also in the lag area, sometimes I will get a call and it wont show up the "incoming call" screen. It will half draw something but not enough to finish the page and I can't see who it is. I can answer it using the hardware button. Problems with lag described above I can live with, but when it starts messing around with the most basic phone functions, then I cant have any problems with it. I don't want a potential employer calling and I not being able to answer or worse - needing to make an emergency phone call.

Again, good rom but if this is the end of the road, I'll probably be moving on too. Good run with this one.
