When you press and hold the widget, it will bring up the change skin option. Press this and it will bring up a list, swipe down to scroll through the available options. It worked for me on the .16 rom...

rstg, tried you way too, the options come up but the skin still won't change to anything other than the pre-loaded widget skins.

I'm downloading what got uploaded searlier to check it. Are you installing Sense? This overwrites/erases the data in the ql_layouts.dat that adds the ones I addes. Let me see what's what. I'm dl'ing and flashing now....

After working with mobileshell today, it's not easy to customize. You have the system file qa_layouts.dat which you have to rename to .zip, insert a file into a password protected file and then rename it back to a .dat file. Something that a .cab install can't do so any widgets simply replace that file and erase anything you've previously installed. Today when I did the Vostrosdomus Widget's, I inserted about 20 .cab's. I couldn't determine what all was inserted into Sense .cab's qa_layouts.dat file to extract them. I would re-insert the files into the Sense file, but it's a bit of work and I destroyed most of the files when I made the mega-widget pack.

So, I may revisit it on my next day off. Gotta keep my noggin goin, and your one of my few customers!

thanks boss--but I think you highly underestimate your following!!! I appreciate all of the very hard work you do to keep this rom rocking. I've checked out the 2 widget packs available for 3.5 and, well, their alright--but nothing to write home about. I think the speed, stability and functionality of your base rom is the shining star...and that's what is so great about your roms. 2.5 is nice, but it is still way too buggy for everyday use, and it still doesn't offer what yours does----the ability to use your phone on a daily basis without reflashing/hard resetting 4 x a day.
Thank you for all the great programs you've put in--tellme, groovefish, Opera 10--awsome!!!
thank you

I'm not saying RSTG doesn't make good ROMS.. (he does!).
But I would disagree with your assessment that 2.5 is way to buggy for everyday use. What 2.5 ROMS have you tried?

I'm using Indagrooves and haven't reflashed/hard reset at all. Even with some of the other ones, it is not as bad as you say... 4 Hard resets in one day?? I think if that happened with most people, they'd simply abandon the ROM. But if you look at the threads, it is obvious they are popular.

I am have been using your ROM on my Verizon TP without much issue as memory is concerned. I am having issues with more dropped calls and poor call quality. Also Battery life is like 25% of what it was prior to this on a different rom.

I love this ROM as I had run SPB in the past and all of your mods are sweet. I did not see anything from anyone about Battery life, but some about Signal for Sprint. Was wondering if you or anyone out there has some tips for this.

One more thing, can you post your latest update in your generic ROM?

Thanks!

I have great call quality and zero dopped calls--but I'm also on Sprint.
Initial battery drop is a bit steep but levels out throughout the day--overall life is on par with most other roms I've used.
