Funny thing - since our phones aren't the newest devices anymore (TP2) it seems like many of us feel like they had better at least work as solidly as possible. I mean no sense in having a phone that isn't the latest release AND that works like it has a beta OS. At least that is what I realized and why I chose this ROM. Though MightyROM 4 is a very strong contender.

Neither was I. I performed the guardian removal mod and the 3 reg key changes. Verified USB tethering this morning, works fine. But the HTC sharing app opens and says it is ready yet my laptop sees no SSID. In fact, even if I enter the SSID and the key manually it still doesn't work. It's as if this rom blocks the network portion of the HTC app. But there are no errors.

Has anyone had luck with the HTC sharing app on this ROM?

Any idea how to remove some of the useless Sprint stuff like TV, NFL and whatever else I don't use? I figure I can remove the Sprint TV TF3D tab easily enough with the various utilities that have been out for forever but what about actually removing the programs to free up space?

yo. i just flashed to the newest offical rom.(did my girls last weekend). i only backed up her contacts using sprite backup. when i restored them, she had problems with the phone not recognizing any of her contacts. easy fix. parenthisize the area code in the contact info. ok now my problem. i hate the htc dialer. i flashed mine, then used advanced config to change it to the winmo dialer. now mine wont recognize contacts either. i tried adding parenthises to all my area codes as well. no luck. im gonna try to add a new contact and see if it recognizes that as opposed to a restored contact from pre flash. any one else run in to this problem or just me?
ps.
i read the first 16 pages as they came in. i havent been here in 1.5 days so im not ip to date on the last 10 pages or so.

I couldn't get it to work with this new version of the rom. But I couldn't get it to work with the original stock rom either. I think the xda site has a list of which rom works with the HTC sharing app. I think this new oem rom is a no as well.

By the way, did any body notice that if you enable Display the clock on the title bar in all programs, that the battery indicator goes away. I don't remember this being the case in the original rom. Do any of you know if there is a way to get the clock and the battery indicator?

Anybody notice occasional moments where the phone will just pause for about 10 seconds or so? It seems to be random, I haven't been able to pin down any direct cause of it.

Also, seems that Opera 17127 still has the screen rotation bug. I can't figure out why Opera hasn't yet nailed that down.

Yes, mine definitely has the 10 sec freeze issue.

Has anybody had any trouble just downloading the rom from htc's website? For some reason it says that my serial number is invalid. Can someone tell me how many characters the serial number should be? Are ALL the numbers and letters in the S/N: line part of the serial number or is it just the ones before the space? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
