(Bleep) that. I'll put the PRI on separately - I hate and distrust ActiveSuck.

Speaking of activesuck, i know it is friggin shaky, and I always manage to get that bcht to work. However it seems that with the new ROM, it is working well.

But the thing is the problems I had never looked like they were the TPs fault - it was the WINDOWS PC application's fault. There are too many variables about things going wrong or not smoothly with it. I suspect it may be better in Vista or W7, which have a sync program built in, but the XP one you need to install (v4.5 I think) has been a nightmare for me - how a program can appear to be so simple yet fail to work intuitively and reliably is friggin' maddening. Apple somehow figured out how to make bloated POS iTunes work well with the iPhone but MS really dropped the ball. Anyway, rant over, this is best for another thread, 'cept I won't bother.

Re: New OEM Sprint rom V. 2.01.651.6

I was able to upgrade the ROM today. The problem I was experiencing initially was failure to connect. After changing to a different USB port, the installation went like a breeze.

yup, USB-FAIL. reminds me of betamax/vhs firewire should have won and everyone else should have worked on making something better than bluetooth.

Re: New OEM Sprint rom V. 2.01.651.6

Tethering Tip For This Stock ROM.....

I was unable to get this rom to tether up successfully using HTC Wifi Internet Sharing Utility, so I tried the utility in the following post and it's working.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...5&postcount=13

I should mention that BEFORE installing the program above...I installed HTC_CM_Killer from this post:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=88014

Also...the Sprint Touchpro Cleanup tweaksonly from this post:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=44583

Your mileage may vary Good luck

Neither was I. I performed the guardian removal mod and the 3 reg key changes. Verified USB tethering this morning, works fine. But the HTC sharing app opens and says it is ready yet my laptop sees no SSID. In fact, even if I enter the SSID and the key manually it still doesn't work. It's as if this rom blocks the network portion of the HTC app. But there are no errors.

Has anyone had luck with the HTC sharing app on this ROM?
