Hm, I thought that was the only one I had, and I have had no issues with XT9 bugging me for any of my builds. Let me scour through my kitchen again and see if I find anything =/

Re: [DISCONTINUED]01-13[KITCHEN]6.5 NK-23518-TF2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi]

In my searches to disable Xt9 and Word Completion I keep only coming across these regedits:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Layouts\e0010409]
"Ime File"="et9ime.dll"
"Layout Text"="ET9 IME"

That one is to disable word completion, but it enables Xt9.

The regedits of all the "disable XT9" cabs and what not I come across is:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Layouts\e0010409]
"Ime File"="compime.dll"
"Layout Text"="COMP IME"

This one however enables word completion.

All the stuff I come across deals with editing this particular string. Both edits work, but it seems that I have to have one or the other. I don't want either. Anyone know of any other way to disable one or the other apart from editing this string?

Edit: Nevermind, I think I got it from Lat's post a few post back! I think I've got rid of Word Completion and XT9 all together. Now if it will just cook in right, I should be golden!

Sure, to disable Word Completion, it's what I posted:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Layouts\e0010409]
"Ime File"="et9ime.dll"
"Layout Text"="ET9 IME"

I'm still a bit confused as to exactly what ET9 is, but this works.

and to disable XT9, it's what Lat posted:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\IME]
"CarrierDefaultTextMode"=dword:00000000

So far both of these work great cooked in. Granted I only cook in Touch HD Ezinput and Swype, but those two edits should disable Word Completion and Xt9 no matter what keyboard is being used. I was just having bad luck using any other ezinput other than the Touch HD one. I actually like it better than some of the others. It seems quick to respond and more accurate than some.

Thanks Sharkie

I don't use soft keyboard. I don't know what I will do if they quit making phones with slide out keyboards.

RZ, or anyone for that matter, is it possible to cook in the provided Rhodium phone canvas without RZ's black and blue skin for it? When I do, I get a mostly white screen.

Rhodium phone canvas is missing the files in RZ's phone canvas skin. You would have to find stock phone canvas or reskin RZ's.

What is it you don't like about the phone skin?

It's not so much that I don't like it. I just would like to change back and forth once in a while just for the sake of something different. I also have trouble seeing the black and blue phone skin in really bright sunlight. I think the white original would do better in that scenario.

Reskinning his should be easy enough.
