Re: [ROM] (08/22/09) [WM 6.5 22001 Titanium Only] **HAZE V1.2 ROM**

First I unhid fieldtrial.exe in the Windows directory and put a shortcut to it in my utilities folder.

Next I went http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=531134 and tried 6 or 7 different radios.

At least from where I sit tonight, the Alltel v1.12.20F gave me the best numbers by between 10% & 15%. The only problem I had was with the one from US Cellular. My phone display was goofy, with parts of the frame missing.

Right now it looks promising. Tomorrow I'll return to the real world and see how it does.

Do you or anyone else here know how I can directly affect sleep (or powersave) mode on the radio? I'm wondering if the radio is blinking in and out of sleep mode, during use. I'd like to try adjusting the sensitivity, or disabling it.

Although I suspect radio-sleep is a prime cause of the terrific energy savings, it'd be good to diagnose the feature.

As always, thanks.

Ok I have tried just about every rom out there and this has finally uprooted midnight as my favorite rom. I am itching for the next edition.

BTW if you need a tester you got one.

Great work on this!

Re: [ROM] (08/22/09) [WM 6.5 22001 Titanium Only] **HAZE V1.2 ROM**

(thread needs a bump) Sprint user. Downloaded your rom about 3 hours ago. I've tried most all available roms on the forum. I'm sorely in need of a rom with better battery life. I'm not a titanium fan especially, but your Haze theme is pretty cool. I'm going with mobile shell for my ui. I'm hoping for some speed and stability over-all. So far all's well. My first gps lock was almost instant, very impressive, and from inside my house also. Your icons you use are really nice btw. I happen to like the larger size. Got some reloading and tweaking to do. I'll report back.

A curiosity question, I've never been able to get advance config to work on this sprint pro. I use neubklite for my kb lite extender, but was wondering why no chefs just cook in a longer kb lite timeout. neubklite works, but is finicky at times. And as I said re: advance config tool, it's always worked a treat until my sprint pro.

Makes me happy to hear you like the Rom and its working out well for you
Ill be working on some other Bases after HazeV1.5 maybe move into some newer builds...ONLY if they are stable. If that is the case ill make sure to add you to my BETA tester list.

Well your in the right place. I have some intresting things going into HazeV1.3 (Out this weekend if all goes well) that should help even more with your battery life.

This is a great ROM...especially for a Noob in WM flashing like myself. Everything seems to work great.

Not a big deal... I did notice you have Pocket Video Poker installed but not a shortcut in the Games folder. I attempted to Explore on my PC (Win7 RTM x64) but right clicking does not give me an option to create a shortcut. Being a Vegas guy..I always enjoy a little VP.

Yes, re: act not working, I find it very odd also, and it's this way on every rom I have tried as well as the oem shipped rom. Absolutely no effect, nada.
That aside tho last nite I lost only 10% battery overnite while in standby. Thats fantastic!! I can't wait to see how it goes thru the day.
But, another issue that is somehow a winmo thing, as it has happenned on all my trialed roms, my alerts sometimes stop being audible if I don't remember to soft reset before going to sleep. Calls, alarms, everything. Happened last nite. I thought I saw a cab somewhere that addressed this. Anyone recall??

Re: [ROM] (08/22/09) [WM 6.5 22001 Titanium Only] **HAZE V1.2 ROM**

I just flashed this rom in my HTC Touch Pro with Bell and I totally love it. I didn't change the radio but now I seem to be getting a weak signal no matter where I am. Is that just the rom not showing me my signal strenght properly or is there something I should do ?

Also is there a way to enable the slide to lock so that whenever my screen shuts down it comes back on as locked. One last thing is the Opera feature that was in the today screen where I could import my bookmarks, it was there when I had just flashed the rom but now it's not there anymore. How can I get it back ?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Don't know what to say, maybe someone on this site can help. Never heard of this before.

This happen in standby or sleep mode?
All custom changes have been made in the: start -> settings -> sounds & notifications -> notifications tab -> event:

Or you can try Re-Remind
Cab: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...5&d=1242241415

Find it here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=68461

Re-Remind is a simple Windows Mobile service that will play a sound at a specified interval when an event is waiting your attention. This is particularly useful for devices that lack standard amber/green notification LEDs (like the Diamond / Touch Pro), but can be used with any WM device if you want audible notifications.

Happy you like it

I am with Bell as well and built this around Bell & Sprint. I don't see any changes in my signal strength myself. Do you actually notice a bad connection when using it? Or like you said might just not be displaying it right.

I enter all of my bookmarks in Opera. Then I I find and copy Opera6.adr
Open file explorer:
My Device
Windows
Opera9
Find the Opera6.adr file.
Copy the file.

Then make a folder on your SD card call it Bookmark and paste the copy of the Opera6.adr file in there. Now each time you flash a new Rom you just go to the bookamrk folder copy you Opera6.adr file and paste it in the Opera9 folder under windows. Now all of your bookmarks are back.

You could then go to the today screen and follow the instructions to import them to that tab.

Hope that helps!

Re: [ROM] (08/22/09) [WM 6.5 22001 Titanium Only] **HAZE V1.2 ROM**

As far as the alerts not audibly alerting, I don't believe it is tied to any specific rom. I've noticed this on all roms I've tried and it's usually in either sleep or wake mode, no pattern to it. A daily soft reset usually solves it. However, my pro also comes out of sleep mode on it's own and I have no clue why. When it does the battery is noticibly drained. There seem to be several issues with the sprint touch pro.
After I flashed your rom last nite as I mentioned above I lost very little battery overnite and was very happy with that, but now today my pro is up to it's old battery drain tricks. After 3 hours i'm down to 50% from a full charge. Only checked about a dozen emails. I think this issue will probably drive me to try the TP2. I have an extended 2000mAh that won't last half a day, sometimes. It's not consistant either and some days are better than others. I keep a charger in my truck, home and office. The phone heats up alot like something is running tho taskman shows nothing. I may have to try another rom tonite. I fear if I return it to sprint I'd just get another one with the same issues as it seems it's what alot of us are experiencing. I'm thinking the TP2 is going to be in my future soon. Just hope the battery issues are resolved with the 2.

Re: [ROM] (08/22/09) [WM 6.5 22001 Titanium Only] **HAZE V1.2 ROM**

Roms take 2-3 days of using (Draining and charging) in order to give you be best level. Meaning the Rom itself need to work with the battery over a couple days to configure it to its max. You will find it gets better...

It sound like your having battery draining issues cause you might be in an area with bad connection or data. If its running hot and your not even using it that sounds to me its pinging towers like a mad man and draining your battery. Try flashing new radios and see if any of them run cooler. The Telus one is good from what I hear.

P.S
The TP2 is not any better.
The battery itself is only a weeeee bit bigger and the screen size on the TP2 drains way more then the TP.
Read some reviews on that baby before hand..

P.S.S
try Re-Remind should solver your issues with the reminders and alerts
