Thanks for the help echomatics. Maybe your on to something with the signal searching alot and draining that way. I wonder, would it be any better if I put it to home network when in town? Or would it still be pinging around towers. Your probably correct about the TP2 and I don't want to outlay the cash and get the same battery issues/diff device. Coming from gsm and tmobile recently I'm perhaps not used to 3g battery draw either. I see you have a 1x toggle on the rom. Maybe I'll try that also and just toggle back for data. Diggin' the rom btw.

EDIT: I guess 1x toggle doesn't actually toggle.
Is there a way to force 1x? comm man turns off push email when data
is switched off. If I could force 1x on I think I'd save battery. Be worth
a shot.

Toggles just fine.

Did you go a hard reset after flashing the Rom?

The 1x toggle takes me to the phone services selection option box. I thought it would toggle between evdo/1x, in effect turning off 3g. Is that what yours does? In any case mine doesn't stay on thet selection box anyway, just flickers and goes back to home.
I set it to sprint only instead of auto to see any diff, but when I lose signal it surely still pings for towers. It seems to help a little tho, not sure yet.

The 1x toggle is a script. It will automatically toogle and take you for the ride. Click it again and it turns it back on. Mine does turn of 3G and keeps 1x and when I push the option aagain and run the script it turns it back on. I sent you a PM with some suggestions.

That's the problem I have, that tab is now gone from my today screen for some reason. I tried to import at first and then realised that I didn't backup my bookmarks so I went and added them one by one to Opera and when I came back to the today screen to import them that tab was missing.

Also, how can I setup my phone so that whenever I turn the screen back on I have the unlock slider shown ? I've had problems in the past with my keyboard opening in my pocket and by the same fact turning my phone on and me ended up calling people without noticing.

Try going into your System tools, then CHomeEditor
You see CHomeFavs?
If not make sure Add it again.

If that does not work then you might need to wait till V1.3 comes out and re-flash.

This should lock no matter what and not unlock till you slid it...

I disabled and re-enabled CHomeFavs and it's still not showing up so I guess I'll just wait for the newer version for that part.

It is the slider I am talking about, the only way for me to enable it is to click start and then click lock that's at the bottom left of the screen. Otherwise when I turn my phone back on it's not there.

That's how Windows did make it. Not much I can do about that. It should stay locked until you unlock it though.

has anyone tried to use debug, to see radio/ power stats...i use to just type ##debug in my dialer and then a password ( 183729)

not working on this rom? I found it in the windows directory, still trying to get it to open, my windows folder when trying to view from my phone is taking over 3 mins to open, anyone else have these issues

found it in windows.. made a shortcut with rosco explorer and now i can open it in start menu...
