I can now confirm that this was the cause of my terrible battery life. Killed the process and watched it for a couple days and battery life is much better. |

Re: [ROM] (09/24/09) [WM 6.5 23017 Titanium Only] HAZE V1.6 Native 6.5 Kernel
I've been using your ROM since - what - 1.3? It's a heck of a piece of work; one of the most professional I've seen.
I've had some challenges, but most I've tracked to Sprint Weirdness or some of the new dysfunctions MS baked into WinMo6.5. I've also been having the weird power fluctuations. Sometimes it'll be stable for a few days, then I'll lose 20%-40% strength within 15 minutes. Afterward it may be stable for the rest of the day - or not. I just read through a few pages and learned about the ActiveSync issue. I opened process manager and there it was. However, I may still have to jump ship. Last week, it froze and then unexpectedly Hard Reset. Yow. I've had the screen freeze during incoming calls - though maybe not since that last Hard Reset. I've vindicated your work - confirmed most of my issues were from elsewhere. But I've still been frustrated quite a bit. I'm pretty sure the following are MS's doing... Finster Remote Desktop isn't working. I can't seem to get Google's Active Sync working. When I tap the phone call notification it takes me to the phone, not call history. Opening Call history always seems to be a 3 or 4 step process. As near as I can tell, the Buttons app doesn't do anything. There's no option to add a button and remap it, or give it a function. I think these are Hazeifications... My hated external volume buttons are working again; my volume levels are constantly where I don't want them. I swear my battery app used to open when I tapped the power level indicator. The Phone sometimes becomes buggy or non-responsive while charging. Having my app locations change with each release has made me nuts. So what's good? The tactile response is MUCH better than the WM6 roms. When Power Efficiency behaves, it's better than I'd ever expect. The Radio seems more stable. The Weather app is simple, reliable and functional. What would I want? A way to edit the Today screen and remove unwanted categories/items. Functioning Remote Desktop Client. Google Exchange Server plugin working (may force me back to WM6). Have my Home button minimize the foreground app, instead of close it. A way to reliably disconnect my External Volume Buttons (please God, please). A way to map missing keys onto keyboard (like Home, End and Alt). As a guy who makes use of your work and contributes little in return, I think I've said enough. It's certainly the most promising WinMo ROM I've seen in a long time. I hope you're able to keep up development and go that last remaining bit to perfection. Re: [ROM] (09/24/09) [WM 6.5 23017 Titanium Only] HAZE V1.6 Native 6.5 Kernel
Thanks for the constructive feedback Noah. As you stated some of the issues are just WM but others I will look into further and make fixes where possible. I will be working on HazeV1.7 over the next couple weeks and this will come with all the latest packages and program updates plus some other fixes and tweaks. Some of the fixes will be the ones you have highlighted. This was the first stable "base" for 23017 I have built and I hope to work off of it and perfect it as much as I can.

Re: [ROM] (09/24/09) [WM 6.5 23017 Titanium Only] HAZE V1.6 Native 6.5 Kernel
Is there a reason why i can't set up a data connection using metropcs?
It won't even let me turn on data in the com manager. It worked fine i v1.3 but not working for me in v1.6 |

All I know is that carrier is weird. Its hard to build a ROM that works well with it. Not even a carrier cab for Metropcs...that might be the issue. Ill ask around and see if I can find a answer. might be worth doing a soft and or hard reset. |
