Have you used Advanced Config? It is known to cause this problem, and is covered in the Touch Pro Essentials thread. Look in the registry for this key,

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings]

make sure SuspendResume is set to #777 (not anything containing GPRS).

I'm sure this is your problem considering you say it starts about 24 hours later, aside from that though, the stock ROM is terrible, I recommend Juicy.

i will make that change now. funny i've pro ready 20 "how to make your TP better" threads and never seen that change.

I have also asked that question prob 3 times with no response.

I hope it works. yes i use advances config to change my data connection settings but never made the connection b/c that is the only thing i do with it.

that's fine to help the ring delay. (it rings on the callers end 3-5 times before it rings on phone) but does that help the situation I described where it IS ringing on the phone but I hit either hard button or Slider and it won't ring. sometimes holding down the hard button helps but not always.

can someone please help me out? im having zero luck downloading the ROM, from all 3 browsers on PC and both browsers on TouchPro. the links on page 6 of this thread are also dead. what is going on with HTC's site? ive downloaded from their site before with my old 6800, but now i cant download a single thing. their support email is a joke right now as well.

if anything, could someone throw a new link up for me, refer me to a better stock ROM (i dont wanna unlock just yet), or tell me why i cant download?!?!

there is no better stock rom, just the ones htc and the carrier put out this is the latest one from alltel, you cannot flash another carriers stock rom either

i just checked the link in post #1 with IE8, Firefox, and Chrome and it downloads just fine. You can also go to the USA htc website and click on support and pick the alltel touch pro and get the rom that way.

i emailed customer support late last night, at the time of my troubles. they informed me that the links were broken, and thanked me for the information, lol. downloading right now! last night when you scrolled down to the bottom of the page, the two dropdown menus were not available. i thought i was loosing my mind or something!
