Re: NEW Vulcan StarShip Version MultiMedia Super Hi Tech ROM, Global Live Media Built

Tech, what's ETA on fixed ROM where you can enter new contacts and usb sync doesn't torpedo the device? I may go back to Starship Beta 2 in the meantime...this is close to being the perfect ROM...please try to just fix the the issues at hand in the new release...the major ones are listed above, and I think somebody else mentioned something with Opera...other than that this ROM kicks ***...I am waiting with a stripped ROM...don't want to reload everything yet again until I know it's a solid final release...best ROM I've used on this site though...great work...and thanks to Longhorn for the kitchen and all the other guys/gals that have contributed advice along the way...

How did you get pandora working? Ive tried multiple times, andI get an error. Thats my only beef. Far as the contact thing, im not getting that error. My method of backing up contacts is, copying my pim file before a flash and renaming it pim2. After the flash, I copy that file back to MY DEVICE, rename the original pim, PIM3, and rename my copy back to pim. I switch the pims, and boom. YOur contacts are there. This worked for me.

Oh, And I just got my extended battery. IT IS GREAT! Its like a normal phone now. It lasted me all day, and I use my phone a lot. I had palringo connected for about an hour last night, and it only went down 10%. That just sounds impossible. I highly suggest the extended battery. I picked mine up for $45. Well worth it though.

What??? If I install the Sprint ROM then I won't have your ROM. You can only have one ROM on your phone at a time.

I think he means as I have done sometimes to flash back to the stock sprint ROM and then flash over to Tech's rom. Also look for the instructions from Tilde88 on flashing (battery removal), it's back many pages use search. I have started using Tilde's instructions and have had far fewer "post flash" issues.

That's nonsense of flashing to stock and back and all that. Flash, and do a hard reset, is the same thing. You're simply wasting time by flashing and hard-resetting 50 times I like I see some people doing.

It's only 15 minutes of their life, but you are correct! Let them do it they must, but I have *NEVER* needed too, and I flash 2-3 times per day typically...
