[ROM] [KITCHEN] [06.25.09] *Silence & MightyMike* Production

I am hoping someone can help me figure out something...

First off, I have been reading these forums and trying various ROMS for some time. The information contained on the forums is so helpful and there are so many good people here! Ever since I have had my PPC-6700 I have loved burning custom ROMS. Now I have my TP and I still like to try out various ROMS that the chefs put out. This ROM by far is the FASTEST ROM I have ever used. It's also bug free (well I haven't encountered any yet). However there is something that bothers me and I can't get around it.

I use s2u2. Currently I am trying to use the new version. (2.02). I love this app, and was using ver. 2.01 for some time with a Silence ROM I was running. It was working flawlessly until I tried to use it with this ROM. It's a real bummer because I love the ROM and I love the s2u2 app. Here is what is going on:

The functionality seems intact when it actually turns on when it's supposed to. However, for some reason it will stop auto launching. This usually happens 99% of the time when I soft boot the device. Even if I execute the ilock, it will not correct the issue. However, intermittently it will just seem to magically work for a couple unlocks and relocks. Then it will stop working and cease to work until an unknown time. Also, intermittently I will go to execute ilock and it acts as if I am not touching anything. It just sits there. Also, if this happens I try to goto the s2u2 settings to change something. When I save the settings, I get a message that ilock cannot be restarted or some such thing and that I have to soft reset the device. But more than likely it still doesn't work when the device resets.

I have tried to re-download s2u2 (in case of some sort of corruption). I also tried to reburn the ROM and reload this app and only this app with nothing else. With only the ROM and this app, this issue occurs. Also, I have tried ver 2.01, and it also does the same thing.

Is there something about this ROM that might be making s2u2 unresponsive? I would really like to get this working. I just don't want to use any other ROM. I love this ROM!

I have searched and searched for someone that has a similar issue like this but I can't find anything.

Try playing with the settings in S2U2, in the last version I used (1.6x something) there were quite a few settings for configuring how it was enabled and when it locked like safemode, locking on power or screen on etc. Just have to find the right combination.

Thanks for the response. However, I have played with probably almost every combination and can't get it to work. I have been playing with this almost every day since release of this ROM. It seems like something is screwing with ilock.

Do you currently use s2u2 with this ROM per chance? If you do, can you post your settings?

Ditto!!! Glad to see that I am not the only one that HATES s2a.

If it's an unknown called no ID info shows, only the #.

Restricted calls show up as Restricted or Unknown.

Do you get an of that at all?

On some phones though you get the caller ID info. I don't remember if the TP gets that or not.

i used to get caller info on stock rom. if it was restricted, it would still come up as "restricted".
now that i think about it. it stopped showin me caller info eever since i change my stock radio for 1.11.00F R

I installed this rom but for some reason I'm not seeing the task manager drop down in the bar thats on top of my screen.

There should be an option in Start\Settings\System\Task Manager Button Tab.
