Re: Dcdrom!

I gotta try this weird idea. I have mighty 5 build 21234 with spbmobileshell3, a few apps installed, plus all my contacts and sprite backup. I backed everything up and am going to try to install this rom and then run sprite restore on it and see what happens.

Re: Dcdrom!

Well, it worked. It worked really well. Almost everything that I installed was there after the restore. I don't see any improvement over M5 aside from the keyboard lag is not present. I did notice that nullkb was not working in opera and Some of the apps that were on M5 were not there (teeter and bubble breaker). No big deal. I didn't notice a remarkable startup time difference. M5 starts up real fast for me and so does this. WHat takes time on this is for spbmobileshell to startup. When M5 starts up it auto starts spb and it happens very quickly. I am going to try Juicy build and then probably go bck to M5. I guess after going into 6.5 I cannot see a reason to go back to 6.1. It was worth checking out though.

Re: Dcdrom!

no keyboard lag is no big deal for you? I guess some text msg more than others so everyone will have a different weight on the keyboard lag.

Re: Dcdrom!

Great job DCD. Glad to see you finally making a ROM for the Touch Pro. Too bad I got rid of mine .

At any rate, Naked ROMs are definitely the way to go. They enable you to install what you want as well as upgrade what you install without having to worry about overwriting ROM files and/or waiting for chefs to update ROMs according to app versions.

Great great job.

Re: Dcdrom!

I do like the lack of lag but, I do not find the lag to be as bad as others have complained of on many of the Roms. I am content with the way it is on M5 and I will see now what happens with Juicy7. I have not tried all the Roms out there. I was on Juggalo x v0.08b for over a month without trying any others. It was pretty good but, I find M5 to actually be more stable and definitely has better battery usage for me. Now that I have this Sprite Backup I will be trying a lot more. I was dreading installation of a new Rom and then spending 8 hours getting everything just the way i want it. This takes all of 15 minutes after a flash and all is back just my own way. Sweet!. That was a cool trial run. Now for more flashing.

I don't see a carrier listed for your profile, but this will work if you're on Sprint.

Re: Dcdrom!

I have been waiting for a DCD Touch Pro rom for freakin' ever!

But I don't know if I can live without the 6.5 finger scrolling in email and file explorer.

Is there a way to add the 6.5 finger scrolling to a 6.1 rom? specifically this one?
