rA icon? Does this show you when you are in a EVDO Rev A area? I don't think I've ever seen this in any ROM that I use...

On the stock Alltel ROM when you're in RevA coverage you'll get an rA icon instead of EV. Flashing to a different ROM can change that, especially if the ROM includes a custom taskbar (or more specifically, a different/modified tapres.192.dll).

In Tsowen's Custom Taskbar thread, he gives up a few rA icons here.

Whichever of those you prefer needs to be cut to 32x32, converted into an .ico, and then put into tapres.192.dll in the Icon Group 22221... that should give you the rA icon again.

Only thing i wish it had was the rA icon.

Razor, does the taskbar otherwise look identical to the stock taskbar? If so, upload your tapres.192.dll if you can get it out, I've got the stock rA icon and can put it in there for ya.

i never saw or knew about an rA icon, must be a common altel function, although most dcd base roms are very base, i have to imagine they started from a sprint rom at some point because i'm almost 85% certain dcd uses sprint because he always has his sprint carrier cabs up to the latest date vs the other carriers

Thank you very much for the offer. I got a RevA.cab from tsowen's thread that i'm gonna try out. I'll let you know how that goes. I'm use to havin Mighty's roms on my phone and his has the rA icon so that you know when picking up Revision A signal.

I love this rom so far.... its one of the fastest ive ever used. My only problems are...
1. Comm Manager gets corrupted in landscape mode.
2. Data starts when it wants. This kills my battery. No, i dont have any programs like palringo or anything on my phone.

Any suggestions?

Not sure if you have the latest 96 rom, but...
1. When i switch to landscape with comm manager open the background switched from white to black, but it still works fine.
2. Data only started up by itself once after I first flashed and that's normal on almost every rom. It's the QuickGPS downloading it's weekly update.
