I'm having a hard time believing it's a bad flash at this point. But I have no choice but to redownload and flash from my home computer as a last resort. If this one fails, it's the rom. I haven't done much except sync exchange and setup the quick links. I did sign into windows marketplace and install Netflix. But honestly...

Running the 21898 cookie rom.

kev, you are not alone. the exact same thing has happened to me twice. history:

d/l and installed 3/30 21898 build w/max manila and flashed from pc on 3/31. phone locked up at initial setup screen (tap to begin w/htc quietly brilliant screen). had to soft reset using reset button then successfully set up new os. liked the rom except the quick links on the home tab overlapped the clock/calendar badly. i set up exchange and gmail accts, synced mail, contacts, etc. in testing i accidentally tapped the software reset icon. no biggie except that the phone hard reset instead and all settings, contacts, emails, etc all gone. slightly frustrated i decided to give 23554 a try so d/l 3/30 build 23554 w/cookieabhome tab. flashed from pc and all went well. yesterday saw that 4/1 builds were on the way so only set up exchange knowing i would be flashing again soon. late today tried to launch opera from the internet tab. got an error msg saying that the opera exe couldn't be found (wtf?). soft reset using stylus this time and...hard reset again. grrrr...

i'm hoping these details can be helpful to you and NRG so we can figure out what's going on. i really like the rom and appreciate all the tlc that NRG has obviously given it. but if it won't keep my data i may have to switch or even drop back to stock (gasp!)

so what say you o wisened sages of ppcgeeks? any insight/suggestions? many advanced thanks!

So what do I need to do to load this latest Energy.HERMAN.23554.Sense2.5_with_Cookie_HomeTab.A pr.02 rom? It only comes with the RAPHIMG.nbh file and no executable.

copy the RAPHIMG.NBH file over to your sd card, enter bootloader by powering off the device, then hold vol down and power button and follow the onscreen instructions. When the update is done, press soft reset button.

IF you're still not able to send messages after installing SMS SIM card error fix.cab then install NRGZ28 HTC Messaging Client (All Sense 2.5 ROMs).cab and you should be good to go

Really awesome update and I'm definitely glad I updated from the 3-30 23554 2.5 rom to the 4-2 23554 2.5 rom. The new menu layouts are nice as well as the new task manager. Everything seems to be working right outta the box so to speak. @NRGZ I know you asked about removing the widgets but should've kept yours in there but not a biggie. Also one thing that I noticed from the last two updates is that in the comm manager as welll as in the device info apps you seemed to have removed the colorful icons that were in there. In my opinion it was a nice touch. Great work once again.

WTF?? Sense didnt load or something after a flash dance from stock.. looked like cacca dodo.. Ill do it again I guess.. lol..
