Re: |TP|ROM|6.5.5|WWE| * Energy 'Phoenix 2/Leo' (23542/21892) |Mar 5| Sense 2.1 & 2.
Hey guys. Long time user of Energy Roms. Since Mid 2009 or so. I flashed the 2/26 version a few days ago. One thing I noticed is that when I use the side buttons for the volume control, one press does get me to the volume control but I can't use the buttons again to go up or down. Pressing either button again exits the volume control. I tried searching as much as I could (hence this being my first post, all my other problems were solved by searching since I first started using the Rom), but all the volume fixes I could find didn't work. I tried the volume beep cab and replacing the HTCvolume.dll with another one from earlier in this thread. Any ideas?
I'd rather not flash to the 3/5 since I just got this flash all set up, but if it doesn't have this issue (feature?), I might just flash to it. |

Wow, loving the 3/5 Sense 2.5 + cookie ROM!. This is my first real test of 2.5, seems pretty much ready for prime time. One issue I'm encountering seems to be a really really really bad slowdown when after sending a text message. The phone returns to the inbox/threaded sms screen and the sort menu bar at the top goes transparent (so I can see part of the message I just sent). Then the phone just sits there for at least 5 minutes or until I force end the SMS application from the HTC end task manager. Any resolution that anyone is aware of? I know when I ran my backup last time it restored 3000+ SMS messages. Do I just need to not restore them next time, is that what is beating this masterpiece of a ROM down to its knees?

Re: |TP|ROM|6.5.5|WWE| * Energy 'Phoenix 2/Leo' (23542/21892) |Mar 5| Sense 2.1 & 2.
Does anyone use the Wi-Fi Router program in this ROM? I'm assuming it's the one from HTC (looks exactly like it...)
At first, I wasn't able to get a connection. I read somewhere you have to make the modem connection under the "work" network section. I did that, and got past that hurdle - but the software now just spins saying "connecting to my connection" - I have EVDO connected and working, I can browse the web etc w/o wifi. Now my laptop sees the adhoc connection, but it seems the program doesn't know how to use my CDMA radio for internet... is there something else I'm missing? Thanks. |

With regards to the error "The destination email address is not in the correct format. Please correct the format and try again. Msg 2106"
I found a fix on XDADevelopers worked for me. Bit of a pain but no problems with SMS whatsoever anymore. No lag, no error messages, able to send and receive just fine. Below post can be found at this link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...556614&page=39 20th February 2010, 02:55 AM thinkblu Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Atlanta! Posts: 73 Enable MS Messaging Client cab Following up to my post above. I have created a cab that will make this process easier. There were a couple mistakes in the "app.reg" file that I have corrected. So, here are the instructions to disable the HTC Messaging Client and enable the MS Messaging Client instead: 1) Uninstall any messaging related cabs (including the Zenyee or Static cabs) 2) Disable Sense 3) Use Total Commander to Delete the "ManilaFull.xml" in the "\Windows" folder 4) Install the attached cab that corresponds to your device (GSM or CDMA) 5) Soft Reset 6) Go to "HKLM\System\Inbox\ExternalAccounts" Rename "SMS" to "SMS.htc" 7) Soft Reset Install Arcsoft MMS software (go here if you need it) 9) Soft Reset 10) Enable Sense Please let me know how it works for you guys! I'd like to give credit to fone_fanatic, dagrim1, and xwpx520 for finding this information Attached Files thinkblu.Enable MS Messaging-v1.1-cdma.cab (376.4 KB, 42 views) thinkblu.Enable MS Messaging-v1.1-gsm.cab (376.4 KB, 103 views) Last edited by thinkblu; 21st February 2010 at 12:20 AM.. First time user of this ROM and loving it so far, but one thing seems to be off for me at the moment. In the Music tab, I can get between to 1:30 to 1:45 on a song and then it stops on its own. I have tried using the phone during this time and does the same thing. I have done a hard and soft reset but to no avail. Any suggestions?
