I see some other people are having the same issue, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer for the new ROM.

I have a Touch Pro on Sprint

On the 16 Feb 23529 MaxManila version I had no issues sending text messages with the HTC interface, but it wasn't that enjoyable of an experience ("back" soft key replaced with send forces you to slide back to contact to ge the "back" button if you're just reading - or hit the home key and slide back to text messaging tab, also in landscape mode the date/time overlapped the text)

On the 26 Feb 23529 MaxManila version the interface was cleaned up perfectly, with a send button next to the box you type in. BUT when I used that send button it would give me the "SIM Card Error". So, I installed RyanMayo's SMS fix (I think that was a repost?) and I was able to send... BUT then I get the dreaded "2106 msg". The only post I found addressing it is from "Accessing" - but it looks like that only works for Amurullz Classic Messaging (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=648)?

BTW, I can still send (before and after the SIM card fix) by pressing "all messages" from the SMS tab & using that app - it looks like some version of Arcsoft is installed & is unaffected by these issues.

I LIKE the new interface, any idea how to fix it without replacement?

That's Max Manila doing that. Change its resolution from WVGA to VGA. You know how? If not, from home screen, swipe down to enter max settings. you will see a button with a "W" in it. Tap it to change it to a "V". That will fix your problem. If you dont like the shortcut and notifications showing at the same time, hit the Notification button on the settings screen and change it from NS to S, N, or OFF. When you are done playing with the settings, just swipe UP to close the settings screen and you're back at the home screen. Happy Energizing!

hey im having same problem how do i get to this max settings screen? i tried looking under settings tab, and other things but couldnt find it. don't know whatcha mean by swipe down to enter max settings.

On the home tab, swipe from top to bottom. start above the clock.

okay found that screen you have to swipe up not down, but changed it from W to V and back and forth and still have same problem

Try to play and adapting your Max the best you can and like it because there are not till today a fixes for Max.
It's not a problem with this Rom or others
It's a situation because 2012 still adapting the packages to VGA and the other imoprtant point Max Ultimate 3.0 it's beta version for 2011 so...

Hello all. I too had the SIM Card issue, but seems to be fixed..I think. Anyway, I am a longtime EnergyROM user, but also a basic user, and don't know all the tweaks and whatnot. Anyway, I was using the Jan 27 version and I liked the HTC Messaging in that version, but do not like it in the current Feb 26. I saw some sort of Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging Cab, but am hesitant to install it. Is there a way to just use the WIMO messaging as the default, or even get back to the other HTC messaging? Thanks.

If you go to NRG's website, locate the file labeled NRG 2012 2.5 Messaging Client. That's his version of the HTC Messaging client found in the Leo build from Feb 6-7th. Installed it on the 23541 build of 2.5 w/ MaxManila and it works great. Still trying to figure out MMS, though.
