Finally to fix the contacts not showing up using HTC Messaging client, use registry editor and delete the following folders:


"HKLM\Security\Contacts\Chooser"

"HKLM\Security\Contacts\PropertyPicker"


Then, voila, your contacts will pop up with HTC messaging.

Remember to say Thanks if this helped you! This fix came from accessing. He posted it in another thread, but it worked for me, so I thought I'd share it here!

Anyone having an issue with SMS using the Feb 26th 23541 build of 2.5 Sense w/ MaxManila? I keep getting a 'Msg 2106' error when sending texts. Here's the error verbatim:

The destination email address is not in the correct format. Please correct the format and try again. Msg 2106.

I have been looking all over for information on this, and I got a few hits about using amarullz NoMessagingClient v2.0.0. Beta 3, but for the life of me I can't find that file anywhere. And believe me, I've looked. I've cursed Google for giving me what appeared to be the right link on xda for the past half-hour or so.

Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

Help, Newbie here, not sure what I did but all my roms I keep trying to download on pc to flash, are coming up .7z - Instead of zip, I looked it up, says it is a old zip extention, downloaded the app that was suppose to extract ahhh, am practicing on my htc touch pro. Ihave a Hero that I wanted to root, but thought I should practice....Please someone help me? I started with the unlock, and made sure the mobile center was updated, figured I have .framework already on my laptop? but not sure I guess...is new laptop have vista. my phone is now in the colored phaze (boot) i guess...Thanks. Have copied a .rar rom that I found, guess I am going to try that. Any help would be appreciated...been trying since noon and it is now almost 7pm - Jennifer

Jennifer,

WinRAR can handle the .7z format just fine. NRG decided to change to that format as it shaved off a considerable amount of file size with the compression. Are you trying to flash from your SD card?

Hi, just wanted to say thanks to NRG for the rom. It's awful hard to find good touch pro roms with developers that still support them.

You can also use the 7-zip program itself, handles 7z, zip, rar, etc:

I'm getting the same error, using the non-maxmanila version of Feb 25 ROM.
