Re: |H|ROM|6.5.5|WWE| * EnergyROM 'Phoenix 2' (23518/21889) |Jan 18| Sense 2.1 and 2

I just flashed the Jan 18th build. All is good except for the messages tab. I can send texts. I can receive and reply to to texts. So there is no problem there.

The problem is when i click on a message, which normally opens a window allowing you to respond, the screen flashes white and then nothing happens. The only way i can respond to a message (SMS) is by going into the WM messaging. This is brutal and very obnoxious.

I have hard reset to see if that was the problem. No dice. Problem still exists. Has anyone had this problem or better yet, has anyone seen a fix for this floating around? I am afraid it is a big enough problem that makes the rom unusable for me.

Thanks for any help!

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.5|WWE| * EnergyROM 'Phoenix 2' (23518/21889) |Jan 18| Sense 2.1 and 2

I ended up trying to flash 23518 yesterday and I noticed the battery life is significantly better on 23518 vs 21889, and I didn't even have to wait a day for the battery to try to calibrate itself.

Overall it seems 23518 runs faster than 21889 as well.

Prior with 28005, I would be able to go about 14 hours. My usage between builds has remained the same, and the way I've configured mail/etc. is the same as well.

Anybody else seeing really poor battery performance?

Thanks!

Can anyone else confirm this?

Has anyone seen an issue where soft resets, battery deaths, battery removals, or any other general power cycles start the configuration process all over again mimicking a hard reset?

x2 wasn't a big fan of the 21889 due to the battery life. 23518 seems to do much better.

Check out this post over at XDA. I installed the .cab per the instructions and all is well. I now have functioning HTC Messaging and the notification bubble on the slider.

No problem! Yea, I myself was bummed as well when I noticed HTC Messaging was disabled on this ROM because everything else is great.
