anyone else having issues with their received txt messages being deleted automatically? only my replies stay the received messages are gone

i have been searching this thread for a fix to correct the problem of no notafication bubble when recieving a text. it shows up for emails but the little bubble with the number of texts doesnt show when i recieve a text.it also seems that it hasnt happened to everyone. i flashed the jan 18th version. third file listed on page 1. thanks for any help.

my button on the today screen shows "action" which has shortcuts for e-mail, wi-fi, etc, but not programs.
