If you're talking about the 4 buttons for SMS and stuff, like in the above screen shots, those can be removed from the Max Mod in the settings area. If you flick up teh screen, just like now, we have the program quick links stil intact...only there are options for 16 or 20 shortcuts.

Check out the Max Mod Thread...it does everything you'd be looking for to customize Manila 2.5.

I have a couple somewhat random questions . . .

How do you get the weather on your homescreen?

Also, I'm running the 12/4 2.1 standard build and my screen keeps going black when I try to do anything while in a call . . . is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

What exactly is csdev.cab and do you think this will help?

Easy stuff:

the weather on the homescreen is a feature of Manila 2.5 [you mentioned you're using 2.1, so you won't see it]

when you're in a call, the screen goes black so you don't press buttons with your cheek...just tap the power button to turn the screen back on. ...unless it's going out permanently.

csdev.cab, I think, is a locking program. Not my favorite...I wouldn't randomly install a program without researching first - hit up some google action or I think this is the developers thread:

EDIT: I think you can use TouchPro Tweak [in START-TOOLS-TWEAKS] to keep the backlight on during a call. I believe In Call Screen Tweaks [not cooked in, but linked through the thread in my sig] will let you set this option as well.

i was commenting on how someone mentioned that there was a graphic from the walpaper underneath the top task bar. i was curious if there were any way to make the task bar it clear while keeping icons like the battery and signal on the right corner still visible. this was you can the the graphic of the whole wall paper underneath. make any more sense?

If you're asking for a way to make everything clear so everything is still in place and usable, just not visable...I don't think so, or this may require a manila modification from the Chef.

You can toggle the full screen view by clicking just above the clock and below the top bar ...like where it says "ology" in "doom technology". It's a very cool customization you can do on the fly.
