I agree the latest round of complaints are more ridiculous than usual considering the chef released TWO different builds at the same time (who does THAT?) and called one of them "the stable one". That being said, he has dealt with far more drama than this so I doubt this will chase him away.
The day he does stop will be the day before I buy my new phone.

Hey guys, I'm having issues with this rom randomly forgetting all of my contact info (and showing calendar, contacts, e-mail & one other are greyed out) for no reason. This happens WITHOUT me even activesyncing, it will just forget all on its own. Please offer any suggestions, thanks guys.

Yet to hear of a wipeage of this nature on any NRG ROM so i will shoot from the hip. I would try the flash dance to see if it could be a bad flash from the get go. If you are not familiar with the "flash dance" I am refereing to, it is a process for getting the best flash possible by assuring clearing of the RAM upon new flash. hard reset, flash to stock, hard reset, flash to NRG, hard reset, then soft reset for good measure. Thats the full flash dance. Some say the hard reset and soft reset at the end are not required but others will sya it is. Anyways do the dance set it back up and see what happens. Issues like this and random resets are usually always linked to a bad flash.

First, I would like to say this ROM is beautiful (really love the modified bars and menus)!

Secondly, I would like to say this ROM has everything feature-wise that I would like.

The problem seems to be that, like many others, I have the gimped VZW version of the Touch Pro. Therefore, I'm sure these things that I love about the ROM (looks and features) seem to add up to more than the VZWTP can handle. I realize you can only do what the hardware allows but...

The questions I put to you:

Has anyone been able to run the TF3d in this smoothly on VZW? I've tried multiple pagepool settings (original 22, 12, 16, 8 ) and with the original 22 it wouldn't let me load any apps at all (first thing I tried was Google Maps). Then with the lower numbers, apps would run but the interface was extremely slow. I've searched around here and checked suggestions for VZW but this is so ROM specific...Again, I realize the hardware restraints but if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. Which leads me to...

Does anyone know any modifications that I can do to this ROM so that it runs TF3d smoothly but allows apps to load? Can I change anything about it or make some changes somewhere?

Lastly, is anyone else having trouble with the GPS? In Google Maps, my dot is bouncing around a few different places about a half mile or so around me but never actually knows my position which makes me believe its using triangulation according to the towers. Is there anything special I have to do or modify to make it correctly use the GPS?

PS: I'd be happy to test out new revisions if the Chef needs any testing on a VZW TP.

How do I change the lockscreen to have slider on bottom and clock on top?
How do I add the blinking recharging taskbar icon that was in the previous build?
How do I change the font size or make the font bold on the message tab?

Help me out here guys.. Im at wits end!

my "gimped" vzw tp works flawlessly, i set the pagepool at 8 ALWAYS!!!!!!! also i only use tf3d,it was one of the reasons i got the phone,have you tried the famous flashdance?? as far as gps i always dial #228 to update after every flash i do.i noticed if i dont, gps is whacked out but works great as long as u update!! i run all kinds of apps never having any problem at all,multiple apps at that. is this your first flash to nrgz rom's?? have you had this problem before on other roms? i have stated before i am a VERY VERY lucky vzw gimped user lol,the only problem i have ever had was mms which is a simple fix, worse come to worse and you cant get where you want to be contact me and i will let you know every cab/tweak i use!!

also i never even go over bout 75% till i use opera!!

The lockscreen I can't help with I have never checked into it. If ya find out post it up, because it has been asked with no ansewr several times and no one seems to care enough to find it and bring the info back here.

The blinking icon in the taskbar is a cooked in tweak. I know there is a cab, I think I saw it in a to tweaks thread though that will give you that back or you can search in the reg edits thread for the exact edit to make yourself. This is a feature that several cooks play around with so it's not a hidden secret. Sorry I don't have the link right off but I will look.

Font size and/or boldness can be accomplished by editing the appropriate manilla file. There are also several custom font cabs out there that will change your font styles although some smaller, some larger. (cough cough rootlinux has a few great ones to choose from, check his thread.....) If you are wanting specific tabs changed and others left alone you will be looking at manila file editing, I won't get into that since I don't do much of it but there are threads.

Sorry I couldn't give ya anything solid but hopefully it's a start.

Not too sure about the first two of your concerns, but for the last one, i am pretty sure you're referring to the blurry and skinny fonts from manila. go search on this thread for cabs that gets the original default window txt back. That will get your fonts bigger and bolder.

i recall seeing a thread on this over @ ED/TP may be useful,i dont use the wmlock, i use activesheild cause it's just great!!
