I cant find if this was covered already anywhere but has the restoration from Pimbackup been fixed? I read over on XDA about an issue but wasn't sure if it was resolved already.

for those having pimbackup issues or resending of text messages because of restore. check below

* after reflash of new rom
* put the phone into airplane mode / or turn off radio signal
* go into settings and change text message mode to CLASSIC
* reboot the phone
* make sure the phone's radio is still off after reboot
* launch pimbackup, restore the file
* reboot (optional)
* go back into settings and change text to THREADED
* reboot, make sure radio is still off
* once the phone loads up, go into your text inbox and you should see the phone auto sorting all the previous messages. make sure you wait til all the messages get sorted into threaded view.
* once the sorting is done, reboot the phone again
* after the phone loads up completely after the reboot, please turn your radio back on.
* this should restore everything without sending out multiple text messages to your friends.

This fixes the problem for several people that i've tried it with. Also i posted this guide before, but it was cached so i can't find it...

Apparently you cannot have the RD with the 2.1. I asked the same question earlier. Hopefully a fix is coming.

OK, I did a search for "direct push" and came across a few posts but none with my distinct issue.

I have direct push on in comm mgr and my exchange mail account is set up. I do not get mail to that account in a "direct" manner. If I go to the inbox and send/receive I will get messages. This never happened before. I would be able to sit with my laptop and phone and usually the phone would register the message before the laptop.

Am I missing something here? Forgot, running NRG0801

• Updated some more icons
• Updated to yozgtag's Manila 2.1 port
• World Clock issues fixed due to item above
• Manila 2.1 plays nicer with the WM 6.5 lock screen
• Modifed activesync icon in taskbar thanks to cmylxgo
• Keeping previous build in the downloads folders just in case people want to rollback
• No RD version yet as the new Manila doesn't play nice with the old dialer. Will work on a workaround...

For those having issues with the slide to answer (S2A) take a look at the following in your registry. I found it fixed mine but I'm using 7/22 RD but it still may apply.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings], make sure SuspendResume is set to #777 (not anything containing GPRS). This issue seems to be related to Advanced Config

I'm not trying to be a joker or anything but I ditched PIMBACKUP for MS My Phone and find it much easier and it's free.

I think I like PowerSMS for restoring text messages. And I usually just update my contacts/calendar through the exchange server at work.

are you guys finding a lot of problems with the latest, is it worth upgrading too right now, or wait til some of the problems are resolved. i love nrgz roms but always have some problem that reverts me back to mighty
