When using WiFi Router, the phone's display no longer stays on indefinitely which means WiFi router shuts itself off when the phone's display turns off. I have to manually resolve this by changing the display time out settings before I start using WiFi Router and then I have to set them back after I am done using it. I was previously using an old Energy ROM from about 6 months ago and it worked flawlessly when using WiFi Router. Now it seems that it no longer automatically alters the display time out settings on startup and termination. Can this be fixed? I am using the cookie/sense UI October 7 version with a sprint htc touch pro. I love the new Rom, I just do not like this one little annoying bug.

Use touch pro tweak and change the seetings in wifi standby mode. I believe It is seventh on the list scrolling down. This should fix your problem.

Some have claimed CHT 2.0 chews up battery, never tried it myself. Also, some good battery tips here in the GSM thread:

You need to let the phone go thru some charge cycles, and you're battery life will improve.

Thanks, that worked. Its even better, with this configuration the display can shut off and WiFi Router will continue to run. Now I have the added benefit of less power consumption and perhaps lower temperature with the display off while tethering.

Is there any way to edit the ribbon icons at the bottom of the phone screen via the email icon, texting icon, etc.? I want to remove some of them or change the order of some of them. Is there a way to do this?

It's all about your setup. Besides being a little buggy, I think Cookie 2.0 was draining a little faster. With Cookie 1.8.5 I can get 16 hours of medium-light usage on a single charge (down to about 20%) and that holds true to about what I got with a stock ROM. Things on this ROM that will destroy your battery life are the Facebook tab and contact integration, the Twitter tab and Google Latitude (if you use it). Also the Sense/CHT weather animations. I don't know what the deal with the Twitter tab is/was, but I removed it from Sense and run moTweets in the background with much better performance. I could probably stretch the battery life even further if I didn't use the Google sync, but I'm not giving that up. Lately I've taken the picture and music tabs out of Sense since I'm overclocking now and have seen a negligible reduction in battery life.
