It was dead for me in Sense settings screens, and Opera, but a quick test in Notepad was successful -- I'm not sure what to make of that...

Nope, not at all. Let me flash to this new one and see if it fixes it, but the last release (2 weeks ago?) it was not fixed, I was still getting txts from 2016.
