its bunching everything up as if my screen is too small. When scrolling the icons, most of the icon is cut off from the top of the screen.
The home screen clock/alarm/weather, is meshed with the 4 buttons...

That's Max Manila doing that. Change its resolution from WVGA to VGA. You know how? If not, from home screen, swipe down to enter max settings. you will see a button with a "W" in it. Tap it to change it to a "V". That will fix your problem. If you dont like the shortcut and notifications showing at the same time, hit the Notification button on the settings screen and change it from NS to S, N, or OFF. When you are done playing with the settings, just swipe UP to close the settings screen and you're back at the home screen. Happy Energizing!

Use File Explorer to navigate to Windows > Start Menu and copy/paste as needed. Alternately, you can use reStart, but that's overkill for what you want.

Edit: Have a few more questions while I'm posting. 1) My phone defaults to the SMS threading with green and white bubbles for me and the contact I am talking to. I would like to go to the default theme perhaps WM theme? I just want something simple straightforward and fast.

2) I searched through this thread and found some references but I am curious what people recommend for battery tweaks for this rom? I heard something about the Maxx battery tweak but I couldn't find any links.

New to this phone tweaking stuff...Have changed a couple of ROMS. This one is fantastic. A few problems here and there but after playing with it for a couple of days have gotten most of them worked out. Thanks for this rom. The hours you have put into this must be uncountable and all for people to play. How selfless.
