I found one today. Scrolling the start menu seems to mess up on the right hand side.

This only seems to happen in portrait mode.

Reboot fixed it, but. I'm also having to reboot twice to get it to totally come up.

If I get a text message from someone using AIM - it comes in as 265061 - in windows SMS it doesn't show up and in manila it shows up as <unnamed> and then has no text.

Usually in windows SMS it shows up just fine but not in beta 4. Then in manila it always shows up <unnamed> and I'm not sure if there is anyway to fix that.

Might be a bug or might be a bad flash. If someone else could test it. Add your phone number to your AIM buddy list and send a text to yourself that way. See if it works like a text from a normal cell number.

Flash is useless in the TP. It sets up exposure based on the flash level. When you push the button it makes the flash even brighter, totally overexposing the picture and ruining the shot. The only decent shots I get from the camera are in daylight because of this.

These guys are talking about the flashlight function that we use on our TP... as a Flashlight..not the flash with the camera for pics....and I agree with everyone and I will miss it dearly...I have used Htorch almost on a daily basis!!!

Hey guys, I believe I have found a HUGE bug. Someone may have talked about this but I've been reading every post for a while now and I have found nothing. The prob is(using 300 B6)


Whenever I try to move along the tabs at the bottom of the TF3D, it may move a couple tabs but it goes straight back to home. I mean the tab at the bottom that you move with your finger, ther's home, calendary, music, internet, weather, settings, programs.. ETC... But no matter what I do whether it be using any finger or aligning screen, it changes nothing.

So I cannot move to any other tab besides the ones I can click my finger on, on the screen like messaging. Settings is on the far right and is off screen so I cannot get to it at all whatsoever, even programs. Whenever I try to tab over it just goes straight back to home. Any suggestions? Or maybe a fix for release deck?

Yea, I love Htorch as well, I use it to read in bed when my hubby is sleeping... Definitely gonna miss that...

I'm still having this problem and also when I soft reset I have to do it twice because I run into some problems if I soft reset once on the beta 6

Did you flash to stock ROM and hard reset then flash back to one of the betas and hard reset? Sometimes you can get problems when flashing ROM to ROM without being stock first.

Ok, I did find out something about the bluetooth volume, I have to volume rocker down much longer than usual to get the volume to change. so I figured that out but I still have to soft reset a couple of times every now and then to get things running smoothly. keep up the hard work!

there are some bluetooth volume fixes around. cant think of a link off top of my head, but i know there are a few around. try a search at xda.

I'm using 209-stuffed and I accidentally went into the battery adjustments. Although I couldn't change anything, after the backlight would never shut off. It would dim but even in bright light you could still see everything. My battery life went from 10-12 hours to about 6. I had to hard reset to get it back to default. Not sure if it has been discussed I've been away to follow. I also noticed that even after soft resets after using the HTC Tethering application that it stayed on. I used it a week ago and had been noticing battery drops. My PC lost its wireless connection to my router and all of a sudden was picking up my phone again and I couldn't connect to my router with my phone. I checked my taskbar and nothing was running up there.

Another thing that is annoying is if I start a text in portrait then flip it open to use the keyboard the text disapears and I have to restart it again.

Youtube folder also mysteriously re-appeared before soft and hard reset back into windows. I had to re-delete it to get the player to work again.

Mad props for fixing the opera freezing. It's been working great for me. Great work deck. Anychance of adding a video player that will play .avi files? I just install TCPMP but it would be nice out of the box.

Ok deck, wanted to make sure this was reoccuring before I told ya. The Wifi internet sharing seems to "break" my data connection after I use it. No webpages will load, but on comm manager, it shows data connection is on. I try turning it off and on, but only a soft reset will fix it.
Also, I have this prob with Opera where the browser sometimes flips upside down, and then the screen will go black. I have to hit the home button, then launch the browser in the internet tab to get it normal again. Prob an Opera bug, but I figured Id let you know.

vesty - I had the same wifi prob in v209. I had to make sure I went and turned off Wifi manually when I was finished using the sharing program. Doesnt seem to be happening in 300 b6 though.

Not sure if it it’s the new version of Google Maps or if it’s Deck’s latest beta ROM, but Google Maps is now allowing me to use My Location, with GPS off. Is this the case with everyone else? I haven't been able to do that since my AT&T Tilt...

Yes, I noticed this also in the 300 betas and in the google version 3.2.1. Without the gps on it isn't as accurate.

I know, it was surprising to see it working with the gps off, must be using the cell towers to triangulate the position

Yet another amazing thing I find about this ROM that I haven’t seen on another ROM (in addition to Google Maps My Location working without GPS) is the smoothness of the camera. When I turn it on and move it about, it keeps its’ focus the entire time. Typically, when I would move the camera around, it would look like more of a webcam than a regular camera, and it would skip frames, which I’ve grown to live with. I’ve not see this level of smoothness in quite some time. Thanks for all your hard work!

deck, since it looks like your almost finished with v0300, what's next on the agenda? Any plans on working on a rom from a port of manila 2.5/2.6 for VGA?

I've seen at xda that they've already begun to port the beta of manila 2.5/2.6 and have a pretty rustic rom running on a diamond, but nothing has been rescaled yet to actually fit the vga screen size. It's all pretty oversized and drops off the screen...

EDIT: Or are you gonna wait for the TP2 and start building manila 2.5/2.6 roms for it???

I got the beta installed (the last one - I think 6) and also Pocketshield. I just noticed that my in-call volume control does not work. Pressing up or down closes dial pad (w/o hanging up) and goes back to the TF3D home screen.

Is this a known problem or something weird that I have on my phone?

WOW, I just went a whole week on one rom(SsS Beta 6), and I can't even find any problems to complain about. The last time I soft reseted was on Tue after that reg edit to get the battery icon on the taskbar. Damn, now I don't even know if I really need a TP2. I nominate Deck for CHEF of the year!!!!!

lol and essentially its not "needing" the tp2 more to as "wanting" the tp2... i dont need the tp1 but i love it, only turn off there is in the 2 is no flash, im still getting it once released tho, the bigger screen must be so comfortable to use!

Have a weird issue on 300b6.

My contacts have disappeared from the all people view. All I see is the new contact selection and my contact card selection. However, they are still in the phone as I can type the name on the dial pad from the phone app and they appear. Additionally, caller id still works.

Soft reset did not help.

Not sure what happened when the problem occured.

Do you use MyPhone? A similar thing occured to me and I damn near **** myself. Turns out that for some reason MyPhone deleted all of my contacts. I logged onto the computer and saved them all from the deleted folder. Thank God they were still there!
That may not be it, but something to check out if you use it.
