yea i agree deck maybe reverting back to an older one and adding the updated goodies and features is the answer? i know you dont like take a step back sys wise but maybe for stabilities sack its the answer for now?

i would rather just not release tbh. i like to move in steps foward, not backwards
i am working with an updated version of 23009 that has some of the imported UI changes atm. so far all is good, but i just really took a crack at it. looks to be a whole bunch of new sprint apps as well.

Is the new youtube working?

I just tried v2.23 on your beta rom. The app loads but when trying to play a video I get an error message saying
"Cannot find the required codecs to play this video"

Hello all. Deck and all using Decks latest V204. I have a question. I'm currently running the v204 L and also the v204 & v204S. One thing I noticed when writing a text and if you use any of the on screen keyboards when you tab to the line who you are sending it too it doesnt look thru the contacts, instead it just spells out the word. If you slide out the keyboard and type on the same line it looks thru your contacts like v203 and ones before it did. Not a deal breaker but just an annoyance. When you make a new MMS through the on screen keyboards, they work thru the contact list without sliding out the keyboard. I just does it with SMS. Also if you tap the TO: word, not the line in SMS it will open the contacts like its supposed to, then you just cancel out of it and type to the receipient and it works, listing contacts instead of trying to spell a word. I wish I knew how to make these system builds so I could help out with the little bugs so you could concentrate on the bigger picture. O well. Just wondering if anybody else was having this issue.

Whoo-hooo!!! Then bring it on, deck. But take your time. Perfection can't happen overnight. I don't want you to rush, because we're all excited about the next release. I think you should keep moving forward. You've done a great job thus far. =D>

I can live with the calendar issue for now. I can always add appointments through WinMo.

Hate to sound like a newb but I flashed my TP for the first time last night with your 204-S rom and have been having nothing but troubles. I know everyone loves this rom so maybe I'm doing something wrong or my expectations are too high but here is what's going on:

I flashed and then setup and then hard reset and resetup like many recommend. After that I active-synced. I wanted to get my txt msgs back on so I opened up MS MyPhone to do a restore (fyi my MyPhone acct doesn't have any photos, songs, etc). But instead of soft reseting it hard reset (came back up to tap the screen to setup windows mobile).

This time I resetup the phone, synced, and then tried to MyPhone restore while keeping an active-sync partnership running. It got to like 90% and then things just slowed down to a snail's pace. I tried navigating around the phone but it was like molasses. So I softreset and it came up and I got to use the phone for a little bit. It was working but def seemed slower than the stock rom.

Still not all my txts were on there (7000 or so is that a big problem?) so I decided to try another method and loaded up PPCPimBackup and tried to do a restore. It got about half way and then locked up. Had to softreset but it wouldn't boot. soft reset another couple times (wouldn't go past TouchPro radio details etc screen) and finally it came up HARD RESET (tap screen to setup windows mobile).

So I don't know what's going on but I gotta think this thing should not be hard reseting on me right? I haven't loaded anything other than psShutXP the first go around and PPCPimBackup the second go around.

Any ideas? Should I reflash for a third time?

Also - I haven't seen anyone answer this question from earlier but what is the fix for almost none of the ringtones working?

After hard reseting I didnt even try to dload the txt messages and it was still locking up like crazy on me. So I reflashed with 204 standard and have been using it for a day. It fixed most issues including the corrupted ring tones but I have a few issues still.

1. my keyboard is the one screen tiny keys kb with the blue tinge - not the big button multi screen (2/9 etc) kb in your out of date pics. I am assuming that means I am not using ezinput correct? How do I enable ezinut?

2. replying to txt message threads is super buggy. If I click the thread it opens the new threaded display with the contact icon. then if I start to type it shoots straight to contact search. If I wait a while and then open the kb it will sometimes go to the old no contact photo interface but it is stuck in portrait orientation. Also the kb lag is horrendous - as much as a sentence behind my typing. When I type every word goes in a black box like for T9 but without any suggestions. Any thoughts? Is it possible to just go back to the old no contact photo interface?

3. a normal day of a little bit of voice, a little bit of data, and a little bit of gps and my phone was completely dead by 4pm. Much worse than before.

Any thoughts? It seems like I am having quite a bit more troubles than others. Might there be something wrong with my phone?

if its not too much try to flash back to stock and then to this rom again. it might just be a bad flash as they happen sometimes
