Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
Well, the camera worked fine for a few days after installing the ROM--and admittedly, I was LOLing at you poor suckers--but karma caught up with me, and now I too get the Black Camera of Death screen.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
ok im new to all this but i took the time to look at all 47 pages and i still can't seen to find a working fix for the sprint tv. i have tryed cab's from all over and then try starting clean and setting up sprint tv first to see if it will work. the best i have got is i can get the welcome video to work but after that nothing else works. to get to that point i installed SprintTVVGACab_PPC_1.6.4.76665_preload.CAB and then Calkulin's Sprint TV Fix[1].cab.zip.
did i miss something? thank you mike. your rom has made my phone what i allways wanted from it. fast.lol |

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
I’d like to give this ROM (not MM 5, but the earlier one) as a try at my first flash of my Sprint TP. I want to make sure I get it all correct (obviously) so here are my questions:
1) Do I download the MightyROM 4/R3BORN file or the MightyROM TouchPro edition? 2) What about the Mighty ROM essentials and the Sprint stuff? Are they not in the ROM but are essential? 3) The Themes? Are they not in the ROM already? |

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
ok I tried the take pictures with the camera and reset while still in the camera mode by pressing the reset button on the bottom of the phone. It worked, but when I'm in the camera mode, it is really delayed and flickers a ton. It was never like this on any other ROM including Mighty 4.13 that I was using previously. Any suggestions?

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
i loaded the app, but it will not load the program. When you click it in the programs list it just sits there. Finally last night, it booted up, but it hasn't loaded since then. really weird.

2) the MightyROM essentials are not included and you don't need them, they are just things that are carrier specific that are not included. 3) Themes are not included you just download them and install them. hope this helps ![]() |

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
Yes it does, but I have another issue. I have looked at all these ROM threads; Might 4.16 and 5, KK's loaded; Juicy7, etc, etc., and on all of them I'm reading about ppl having a problem with one thing or another. Either the camera won't work or this won't work, or the battery gets drained, blah, blah, blah. So my question is: Why do I want to flash at all? None of these seem to work w/o some problems?

Then don't flash. Trying out new things isn't for you. No problem. Some people don't like taking on new known and unknown problems in trade for fixing existing problems. It sounds like you would rather live with the existing problems of the original device. Or to put it another way: Updating your device with a new custom firmware/ROM is a trade off. One one hand you might have a few new bugs that exist in the new ROM where things that had worked no longer function. On the other hand you will get a lot of things fixed that didn't work well in the original factory ROM. You'll get a lot of settings tweaks and other work done for you. In the end: If you don't want to mess with your phone, don't want to run the risk of getting a new bug while fixing other bugs, and you don't want to customize your phone then maybe Windows Mobile wasn't the best choice for you at the beginning. Windows Mobile does take some work to make it realize its potential. |
