Now there is a helpful post, thank you for solving my problem. Thank you (yes I did)
Funny thing is, I've always used gmail as a pop3 until your suggestion and I've never had a problem with retrieving email with my TP until this ROM |

Re: [ROM] [Sep 29] Psyki 4 - Custom Glass Manila 2.1 (23017.5.3.0)
Great ROM, Really! Thanks! I am noticing a couple problems. The first one I need some advice on where to look, the second one I think is a bug.
1. Now, clicking the clock causes TouchFlo3D to crash and restart. There is something messed up. Is there a registry entry or mapping that I should check somewhere that could cause this? The first time I flashed my phone, I had a bug that was my own fault. I found my problem (bad shortcut in a startup folder) after I reflashed my phone, that is when this problem came up. I don't know of anything different between the two flashes. EDIT: I can open GALARM just fine from the start menu. I'm not sure if GALARM is linked to the clock. Perhaps this link is just broken. I could reflash a third time, but I'd like to see if I can fix this first instead since almost everything else seems to be working smoothly. 2. During both flashes I find that the keyboard is screwed up when trying to text and use some of the Fn+ special characters. Example: I can't get a ":" and sometimes I can't get a double quote either (instead I get a single quote: ' ). ":" shows up as a semicolon ( and a semicolon shows up properly. I know #2 is in the OS somewhere. Probably some keyboard mapping that is messed up. I'm not fully familiar in this area, but have seen this sort of problem on some other ROMs too, just not for a long time since I've been using an old rom for a long time. I think there are other symbols that are messed up when trying to type, but I don't have them off the top of my head. Many of them work properly. I have used the software keyboard to work around this, but that is a pain. I'm extremely happy with this ROM though. Thanks for your hard work! Last edited by quarky42; 10-07-2009 at 09:22 PM. |

G-Alarm is not mapped to the clock, perhaps you installed something that is trying to map the clock to something else? Any g-alarm clock mapping I or others made was probably for the old Rhodium and won't work with this version. Unfortunately with EzInput 2.1 those two FN keys are not mapped correctly. To input a : or " you have to hit SYM :/ |

I am having similar problems. I have reflashed the main rom a couple times and I have tried installing the dcd Sprint Carrier cab and still have this problem. I have also tried several radios and have just reflashed to the latest Sprint Radio and have reloaded the 60654 PRL. I have the latest PPST. Specifically: It seems like I am always in roaming. I have tried several radios. No matter what I try (so far), I open the "Network Service" setting screen and the 4 options are blank. I select the "Standard" or "Automatic-B" entry and click OK. Then I go back in there, all the entries are blank again. Now, if I click "Automatic-A" and hit ok and go back in there then "Automatic-B" will be selected. If I click "Home Only" then it will come back as "Home Only" when I go back in there. That is the only setting that seems to behave normally in this ROM. I have completely wiped my rom again (doing the hard reset/restore procedure) and can confirm that even from this state the Network Service settings do not behave properly. I did notice that right after a hard reset/restore that there are 5 entries in the Network Service menu: Sprint Only, Automatic-A, Automatic-B, Roaming Only, Standard. The last 3 all don't show up if you select them, click ok, and go back in there. Automatic-A still shows up as Automatic-B when I reopen the network settings. Sprint Only works as expected. Even after the soft reset there are still 5 entries. I'll reflash back to the stock Sprint ROM and back to 092909 and try one last time to see if I can get this behavior ironed out. I don't think it is a flash problem, but could be mistaken. Does this 092909 rom automatically load any sashimi customizations? Because this last time I restored I made sure to not run sashimi and just go straight to the Network Settings. I even did an extra soft reset. |
