Cool, looks like contactassistdll.dll might be the culprit. Using the one in your zip works without the others! Gonna roll with this for a while and see how things pan out.

Now on to some of the other problems...

I got that error message but touchflow loaded right afterwards? Maybe try to load it yourself by going into settings/today/Items/Check Touchflo3d

IF that doesnt work, then soft reset?

Still nothing? Try a hardware reset (that should def fix the problem.

That popup only shows up if/when touchflo does not start, it does NOT cause touchflo to start. Rather it shows up BECAUSE touchflo did not start. Are you saying you used the provided zip and touchflo did not start? Just soft-reset, or try re-extracting the zip. There is nothing in the zip that should break touchflo.

(edit: specifically that error message relates to SSMaHo, which is what maps g-alarm to the clock. no touchflo, no clock, no workie ssmaho )

No problem at all. You just have to use a file explorer more powerful than the default file explorer. Total Commander is a great free tool, others use the more modern (but not free) Resco File Explorer. That's what I use and it is fantastic. Another solution is to connect via activesync, browse to the phone on your computer and just copy and paste the dlls straight into the \windows folder. BTW I believe the only files you need are ContactAssistDll.dll and ContactAssistDll.dll.0409.mui.

Or instead of downloading/installing extra's to your phone that you may not use. You can use Zip, in the all programs..

Exactly. I just unzipped directly into the windows folder and it worked fine for me.
