Usually you should do a hard reset after a fresh flash, but I have tried alot of rom's that sometimes I forget and I didn't have any issue's. But yes you should do hard reset after flash.

I've only done that a time or two. It's really only useful to remove a bootsplash screen that gets cooked into the ROM. Or, if you have major issues after flash and hard reset.

Only time I have EVER had to go back to stock was when flashing energy ROM from over at XDA. Bootsplash wouldnt go away no matter what. I have also done it once or twice during testing to rule out a issue of something being left over from a previous build.

Hard reset after flash is almost read again ALMOST always enough.

4. Hard Reset.
5. Note any issues that appear prior to restoring contacts, or installing additional software, CAB files, drivers, etc.

6. Report those issues to the chef.
7. If problems arise AFTER you've installed software, don't report those items as ROM issues in the chef's thread. State that you installed "X" and this occured. It makes it very difficult for us to diagnose an issue when we have no idea you installed "X" until after the fact.

We don't get paid for this. We do this to bring the most features and speed to our phones. Help us keep that alive.

Good advice, I will do this from now on when reporting problems. I really appreciate the great work all you chefs do!
