Re: May 1 Longhorn ROM for all carriers build 21501

Using the TF2 Sprint here.

The ringtone thing is workable, but really if you can, please fix the issue with not setting it from settings...Why?

Coupled with this bug its downright annoying:

The home button on the phone itself won't go back to home. (consistently) It seems to like to bug out the most in Touch Flo.

You hit it, the screen flashes on the indicator bar, and thats it.

You can use the back arrow only.

Youtube is not working on this either.

File Youtube cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted cert, etc.

Txt msg sound does not work: "Excuse me boss..." (This is made worse by the problem with the sounds/notifications tab not working) If you can't fix the sounds tab, then its going to be unpossible to change these sounds ever in TF2.

There's also a bit of slowness, I assume due to pagepool?

Those are my biggest issues so far. Otherwise, its pretty good.

edit: tried sprint tv too, doesn't work.

http://ppcgeeks.com/forum.ppcgeeks/s...=43502&page=10 and then installing Sprint TV works for fixing that. So, the Dshow and streaming media files are basically the issue as well.

OT: The Longhorns have great programs, but damn their colors are ugly. TTU Red Raiders FTW.

for the ring tone i was told its in all 6.5 builds but there is a way to get it working in settings sounds notification by soft resetting and then trying change the txt messaging to something might work, right now my excuse me boss.. works so its just here and there.

This ringtone issue is universal to ALL 6.5 roms for the herman/raphael. Currently there is no fix for it tho there are some idea. Some think it may be related to setting alarms on your phone. Also if you increase your system cache files the time without the corrupt message will increase. You can do this with Diamond Tweaks under performance.

I've not seen a single 6.5 like this ringtone issue dude.

Right off, none of the ring tones work UNLESS you set them from inside of TF2. You can't set them for anything BUT the main ring. If you do it in Settings, it tells you that the ringtone is corrupt. It doesn't matter if you hard reset and it starts right off, or you just soft reset. No tweaks seem to fix it either.

I can guarantee you ive flashed many more 6.5 roms/builds than you have . I am not talking about this rom bc i can not flash it in hte first place but am rather talking about 6.5 in general. What all 6.5 roms have you tried? I have spoken to many people about this issue and it seems to be universal atm.

Did you note I'm not trying to turn it into an e-peen contest? Ring tones work only if you run them through one specific way, and then only ring tones. (As in, you can ONLY change the ringer, SMS/MMS/email are hardcoded and work using the hardcoding) The tones themselves work for the other builds, and they work for defaults....they do not work if you try to change them via settings. If you read the thread, you'd see this too.

e-peen? wtf is that :/...ringtones can not be as you say "hardcoded" as the selection is simple a registry key...The ringtones tones themself are not the problem but rather a bug in 6.5. If you had read my post you would see there are temp fixes for this.

again i ask you which 6.5 roms did you flash that did not have this problem? Because if this is true then i and alot of other people would like to see what difference they did in there rom to ours.
