Mighty Rom 4.16

I have the touch pro cdma for sprint I unlocked my fone & I DLoaded the Mighty Rom but now im trying to install it but i am having issues. I extracted the Custom_ruu.exe but when i click it to start to install the rom nothing happens it pops up the vista window asking permission to run it but when i hit allow nothing happens the fone is connected to WMDC i have no idea what im doing wrong help

Are you in bootloader(tri-color) screen? If not hold down the power+volumedown+reset button. When removing the stylus from the reset botton make sure to keep the power button and volume pressed for a few more seconds.

Right click on the program the select "run as administrator".

wait! what are you trying to run? you have to run the RUU Update utility program not the actual rom file.

look at the bottom of the screen/..after vista asks you ton continue...it opens up another window at the bottom for install

When I do this it disconnects from WMDC. It puts me in the booloader screen it tells me all the info about me using SPL-0.37.CMONEX but again when i try to install the ruu it asks for permission to run but again when i click allow nothing happens maybe im just missing somthing real obvious anymore help would b very helpful

Ok, try going into bootloader screen first then connect it to the computer then run the ruu

I disconnected from the laptop then i put my phone in bootloader mode b4 i conneceted to the laptop instead of saying USB it said SERIAL then i plugged it bac into the laptop then it said USB but it still didnt connet to WMDC i tried to run the custom_ruu again went through the whole thing of asking for permission hit allow but again nothin happened again should i just try installing a different ROM to my phone???

I had some issues with Vista and XP last week doing this, but did eventually get it running...the key for me was going into activesync advanced config on the phone, and checking the box...it seemed counterintuitive to me at the time, but the phone immediately downloaded necessary drivers after this and then the update utility worked flawlessly...I can't recall the exact instructions off the top of my head but will look later if you can't find what I'm talking about...should hopefully be obvious though...

R u talking about the box that says ENABLE ADVANCED NETWORK FUNCTIONALITY it is already checked off do i uncheck it or are you talking about the button that say ASK ABOUT CONNECTION TYPE WHEN I CONNECT. that one is also checked off
