You'll have to extract the splash nb from the stock rom and then either add it the the rom you want or just make the nbh file with just the splash screen. I found the topic on xda:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431161

Also, here's a link to elsewhere on this site where lllboredlll has the stock roms

Re: Original bootup screen..

The very first screen that says Touch Pro and has the red letters has to be flashed. The second screen is a file called HTCAnimation.gif. The third is called welcomehead.192.png. Which the latter two just have to be replaced in the windows folder

jmz is correct, however the 2nd and 3rd bootscreens can be changed with the regkey at HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation (startup\shutdown sounds as well), and HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Splash Screen. You can also change the path\name to whatever image you want, it does not have to be HTCAnimation.gif or welcomehead.192.png.

PsykiROM looks pretty sweet with a custom first boot splash so all three boot splashes seamlessly show the logo throughout bootup
