Testing two new radio's over the next couple days for hopefully better battery life.

I have read that a few are having problems with the time, I have attached a file that disables the time if you happen to touch the clock on the today screen, instead, maps the touch to call history, so that the timezone isn't changed anymore. After installation, soft reset of course. And by the way, to change the time, timezone, or access alarms, you would have to do it thru start/system/clocks and alarms.

i have to 2nd recommend this cab, its a quick and easy fix for the timeclock bug...not as complicated and confusing as trying to remap the clock to g-alarm

It's an OEM for menu enhancements v1_0_19123021_01. I just made the HTCMenus.bmp blue and used the Helvetica Neue OTS font.

They should work on any 6.1 device, and probably older but I haven't tested. All they do is extract tahoma.ttf and tahomabd.ttf into the windows folder overwriting whatever is in there currently. Then they make a few well documented registry edits and voila! So if you wanted to use font XYZ.ttf just rename it tahoma.ttf and a duplicate copy tahomabd.ttf.

Note that the CABs are actually in the \windows\ folder, it is only .lnk files in utilities\fonts folder.

Soft-resetting your phone can cause a large battery drain, and from what I've read it seems Manila 2 also uses more juice. Still I am working on getting more battery life out of the device, I've pretty much resigned myself to having to charge at work or in the car :/

I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any known good battery tweaks :)

i dont currently have the tools to made a cab from an oem on my laptop at the moment, nor do i have that OEM (ya i know its probably in one of the stickied kitchens here but call me lazy) is there anyway you can whip a cab up for me with your blue bmp integrated? it looks great and i love the blue too

No problem, just unrar, drop this file into your \windows folder and overwrite the HTCMenus.bmp that's already there.

I wish sprint had better MMS support though, it always seems really iffy if any MMS message gets delivered or not. :disgust:

my menus are still ugly, all that did was replace the bmp file in the windows folder but im guessing i still need to install that OEM-cab first

You might have to rename the HTCmenus.bmp to HTCmenusOLD.bmp before power commander will let you copy over it.

Ohhh yeah, you don't have the actual rhodium menu enhancement installed. There are a number CAB versions floating around but not all of them work with all builds of WM. In fact I couldn't get any cabs to work with 21042 at all, only if I cooked in the OEMs did it work. As far as I know you'll need at least a 21000+ build for them to work at all.

I'm simply amazed at relatively how bug free and clean this ROM is. Sure battery life isn't super-great, but considering most other rodium ROMs out have some pretty major bugs or problems i'm really happy that I ran across this one. (And believe me when I say I've tried them ALL).

Get the battery life to something reasonable and i think this will probably be the best rom out right now. :)

For anyone willing to try, here is a CAB I made to map the clock button to G-Alarm. It is essentially a hacked version of the SSMaHo method. This may or may not work! It worked for my roommate... Here is what you do:

1) Install the attached CAB. This will extract some files to Start->Programs->Utilities->SSMaHo 0.0.4.0, one file to the system root, and a shortcut to Windows\Startup
2) Go to Utilities\SSMaHo 0.0.4.0 and run SSMaHoGUI.exe
3) Select 1) Install new HookerDll
4) Tap the 'Close' left soft-key
5) Soft-reset, and the clock button should map to g-alarm!

If this doesn't work for you then you'll have to do it the hard way by following all the steps, again this is just barely tested!

Thanks again for the kind words! I have some ideas to improve battery life which may have a slight performance hit but would otherwise have no effect on stability. Might be another ROM version away though...

Please keep reporting on realworld battery performance.

I have used this ROM for about 2 hours now, and it is the BEST out right now, in my opinion. Very fast AND stable. Awesome work, keep it up!
I did the un-check time syncronization fix, and have not clicked on the clock, and my time is correct so far. I just need to re-map the clock the G-Alarm and I'll be set.

Thanks again for your excellent work!

I have never used SprintTV so I am not sure... I can't imagine it is a problem with the ROM though... Can you try over EVDO, WiFi, or activesync/usb?

Psyki, amazing rom... I hated TouchFlo 2 since so much issues, but it seems that everything is working perfectly....
I would love to see a LOADED rom with games and utilities... like CorePlayer (better for divx movies), StopWatch, MusicID (even tho it is considered warez)...

or even post your kitchen and we can create our own...

I doubt I'll release a kitchen, mine is kind of a mess and I would rather just avoid whatever support hassle comes along with it, heh. For the record I pulled everything I used from this site alone. I'll consider including more utilities and things of that nature though. This project started out with me just wanted a ROM that was built perfect for me and I tend to keep a pretty clean system. But then I just had to share it :) Half the reason it's so stable is that I avoided things like ICR and other programs of unknown stability.

This is a VERY stable ROM. I've been using the ever-living-piss out of it with out finding anymore quirks.

Though, it's been off charge and under a constant use for about an hour now and i'm down to under 50% battery :(

Hmm, you might want to search ppcgeeks for information on how to update your PRL, I know there is a way to do it without those tools, or maybe someone has newer versions or something. I will look into it later, for now I must step away from the keyboard ;)

true... don't want to have issues with this ROM, it is fast and stable for sure... just a thought, but in the program list, possible to have black background and have the text in white for the icons?

will be keep an eyeout to see you come out with a rom with more applications.. love to see coreplayer for sure .. TCPMP has issues I noticed.

but excellent work..

Nice stable and fast ROM. Thank you.

Two requests.
1. Can you make Opera scrolling smooth (like in other ROMs Juicy/Mighty/Silence)
2. Improve the battery life.
