I have some things to try out still, all hope is not lost. The issue specifically happens when you hit the keyboard icon to hide the SIP, it re-enters whatever key you hit last. So if you type 'psyki' and close the sip, it will enter 'psykii'. Now I'm using the new finger keyboard which has a dedicated 'hide SIP' button so that is one potential workaround. Ugh, I hate stupid issues like this.

I planned on throwing finger keyboard on once the flash was done myself so I wouldn't be disappointed with that as a fix.

I'm really liking it, and the developer gave me permission to cook it in so that makes me happy as well.

Yeah!! That's EXACTLY what was happening with me! But I was burning through roms so I wasn't too worried about it.. but I remember it seemed to just "show up" all of a sudden. I had to learn to just tap in some blank part of the screen before trying to close the SIP so it wouldn't add an extra character to whatever I was typing.

90-100% are not accurate. That is just the way it is. 89% and lower are accurate.

Re: PsykiROM v1.0 - Rhodium Manila VERY FAST! - [21042] [TP2] [UC]

I love your ROM. Easily the best out-of-box ROM I've used since the Juggalo/Carbon release.

Now the questions.

1. I really like the stock Sprint theme so I usually install Calkulin's Sprint (v1.2) Landscape Manilla Cab to replace the ROM's default theme.

Unfortunately, doing this modifies which TF3D tabs show up (e.g. Sprint TV is added, Stocks is removed, etc.). I've found a way to help remedy this problem is to install MightyMike's Call History + Comm Manager + Calendar Tab and his white Sprint icons.

Unfortunately, there's still remaining tabs I'd like to remove. I used to use the Diamond TF3D Config Tool, but apparently it is not compatible with your ROM. Do you have any advice about adding/removing/editting TF3D tabs?

[s]2. Installing the Weather Database for TF3D cab results in TF3D restarting everytime you try to add a city in the Weather tab. Has this been addressed? Is the only way to add a smaller city to do it manually? Using the editor provided within this thread (located here) gives the error "File write protection of database couldn't be removed."[/s]

edit: Apparently the fix was posted a couple pages earlier. Fix is mentioned here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=620

3. I believe it's an issue with the Manilla Rhodium, but is there a way to set it so when you click on the system tray (top right corner) it shows the selection screen of battery life, communication manager, sound, etc. instead of just the Notification window?

Fixed the SIP issue :D I had to swap in 21043 OEMDrivers in place of my 21042 OEMDrivers.

1) I'm including a few color themes but not sprint, you might be on your own for that one
2) I'm including Weather Master per several users suggestions in this thread which should allow you to add your own cities in TF3D2.
3) By default I have my ROM set to show you the selection screen like you mentioned, but it will be a selectable option in Settings->Personal->TouchFlo.

Oh yeah, and you can remove/customize tabs in the Settings tab->Customize Tabs. I also included Advanced Configuration which allows you to do this.

Psyki, would it be possible, that is, may I suggest that you include the file dialogue changer in your next release? You know, the one that makes it easier for browsing the file system when trying to open a file from the FILE OPEN menu of most applications? Here is one place you can find it:

I think it's a little too late in my testing process to start looking at this utility but I'll keep it bookmarked. I think the rest of these guys would kill me if I delayed this release any longer :D Thanks for the tip though!

NICE.... but um... how do you do that? I mean, if I run into this problem on another rom (not that I would ever thing of going to another rom!), but just hypothetically speaking... if I have this problem on another rom how could I replace drivers? Is there anything else I can replace drivers for? I suspect the camera going dark is a video driver issue... what do you think?

I figured I've hosed the old install, so I hard reset to give me a fresh start, unfortunately, I still don't see the option to Customize the tabs.

Start -> Settings

Personal Tab has the options: Buttons, Input, Lock, Menus, Owner Information, Sounds & Notifications, Today

System Tab has the options: About, Clear Storage, Clocks & Alarms, Device Information, External GPS, G-Sensor, GPS Tool, Key Lock, Large Titlebar, Long Press End Key, Managed Programs, Memory, Microphone AGC, Power, Power & Backlight, Regional Settings, Registry Editor, Remove Programs, Screen, Sliding Actions, Task Manager, Text Messaging, TouchFLO, Uploader, Video Out, Windows Update

Going into System -> TouchFLO only gives me the options:
[ ] Enable sound when finger scrolling and panning
[ ] Enable large start menu
[ ] Show System Status screen when status icons are tapped

Additionally, checking the last option ("Show System Status screen...") does nothing. Checked or unchecked, pressing any of the System Status icons only pops up the Notification screen.

Back to configuring tabs. Advanced Configuration (Start -> Programs -> Utilities -> Advanced Config -> Menu -> More Settings -> TouchFLO 3D) yields the error "An error occured while loading the TouchFLO 3D configuration."

If I hit OK, it shows the following screen:
http://www.verityhw.com/uploader/fil...onfig_tabs.png

Note how the Stocks tab is missing and all of the tabs are unchecked. If I check some and hit OK, I get the same error, hit OK again. TF3D relaunches, except nothing changed. All the tabs are still the same.

Thank you for all you've done and your continued help.

Well, advanced config is good for a lot of things but it doesn't play 100% nicely with Rhodium. When you slide to the settings tab in Rhodium you should see 'Customize Tabs'. There you should have the ability to change the order of tabs or hide/unhide them.

Frankly I'm not sure what the issue is with the camera going dark, but I haven't had that happen to me yet on the newest builds I've been flashing. *crosses fingers*

If that problem is cooked into a ROM I don't think there's a way you can fix it on the fly... I'd suggest to the chef that they update their kitchen with the correct drivers for their SYS :D Personally I assumed that 21042 drivers would work fine in 21043 seeing as how the SYS is very similar but I was wrong *shrug*

I have not had a single problem syncing anything, using Activesync, PIM Backup, or even google/exchange calendar synchronization. Do you get any errors in activesync? Can you browse the phone with the activesync explorer?

Really? I was actually very surprised that you didn't include it in the original release. The problem is taht the default way windows looks for files... say you want to open for example a PDF fie by opening Adobe Reader, then FILE, then OPEN, windows first scans your ENTIRE system, ALL FILES and THEN displays what PDFs it's found. This entails a LOT of waiting. Adding this to your ROM would actually help it's legendary "fastness" ;)

No big if you don't include it because it can be added afterward.. but I personally don't find it acceptable to wait for windows to scan my ENTIRE filesystem before I can pick a file to open. If you can't tell I'm really trying to encourage you to test it out on your own system and see what I mean. I know if you do.. you would add it. I think it entails placing a dll in the windows dir, then a shortcut in the startup folder. That's it.

I've never used it and have never had a problem opening files. If I have a .pdf file I just tap on it and Adobe Reader opens it automatically. Worst case scenario with Resco I tap and hold, select "Open with" and choose the program. I'm just too busy at the moment chasing down other bugs to test it and be fully confident it will work in all programs, that's all.

First off, I really love this rom! =D> I am so glad I made the leap of faith to Psyki's rom from stock. So far I've had no issues, but I haven't tested everything--just the stuff I use.

Question, is there any value to installing the video drivers that are floating around on xda forums or does this already have improved drivers cooked in?

I was under the impression that HTC optimized drivers for the Rhodium so it would actually perform the way it should. Has anyone been able to lift those drivers and cook them into Rhodium roms (since it's the same hardware essentially)?

This rom really cooks and I was wondering if that was part of the reason--Rhodium drivers and optimizations.

I've ran into it a few times. It seems to happen when you try to synch TOO much stuff...like...every Email and attachment you have. Try deleting your device from active sync, then select to sync about a weeks worth of half your folders. After it syncs add a little more folders. That usually how I have to get everything I want sync'd up. Kind of tricky sometimes.

The sure fire way I do it is just sync the entire message, text only (no attachments) and only do the folders I really truly need.

It will change THIS:
http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/1759/fileopen01.png

To THIS:
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/9660/fileopen02.png

So that you can view the current folder, and browse to ANY folder rather than just letting the default windows open/save system do a blind search for you. Try it out. Psyki included PhM registry editor. That is what I have posted screen shots of. Use it to backup a key from the registry... then go to FILE RESTORE and look at how it displays. That is from the first image. After installing this you have TOTAL CONTROL over where it looks and don't have to rely upon it doing a blind full filesystem search for you. This goes for ALL applications in windows mobile once you install it. Personally I don't know how 'hacker' or wannabe customizer can do without this. I'm shocked no one else has said aything about it yet on this thread. XDA is all over this badboy.. oh and the link I posted to is talking about an older version, the newest one works. I have attatched what I'm using incase you wanna try it out. You can turn it on and off (i.e. enable or disable it).
